Difficult to place, and limited to very specific locations. The hex is clever and can provide bomber protection in certain larger cracks, but the stiff wire makes it very easy to walk out of place. Needs a long extension, vs. other brands with a sling that doesn’t transfer the rope drag to the hex. Perhaps the wire is more durable over an edge though, so it has a place and time where it shines. Just too specific of gear to carry on a normal rack.

This looks nice, and works great. It's made by Black Diamond, so I figure it won't break and get me killed. I'd be more likely to place it wrong or something. It was cheap, and looks good.
