These markers are like low budget off-brand sharpies. The marking wears off quickly when used on tags outdoors.They are perfectly fine as regular markers, but they don't work for us for ear tags. I recommend looking into a product specifically made for ear tags if you want your marking to remain highly visible and legible.

I recommend this in place of any sharpie, if the item will be exposed to the weather. Writing stays better without fading.
