Why can't some cat urine be detected? Won't it work on cat urine?

  • The pet urine contains phosphorus and protein (mainly phosphorus), these minerals and elements will fluoresce under UV light, thereby detecting dry pet urine that is invisible to the naked eye. If some cats are low in phosphorus in their food and drinking water, their urine is also low in phosphorus, causing their urine to be undetectable by UV flashlights.

Why make sure the surface is completely dry?

  • Because black light UV light flashlight is only effective for detecting dry pet urine. Fresh pet urine, pet urine that is not completely dry, air humidity or superabsorbent materials may cause the light emitted by the purple flashlight to be very weak or not glow. For the most obvious fluorescence from UV light flashlight, allow the pet urine to dry completely before attempting to locate the stain with UV light flashlight. Only in this way can the UV flashlight be used to the extreme.

Tips:

  • Can only spot dried urine stain;
  • Does not work on reflective surface or carpet with fluoresce;
  • The ultraviolet led black light works best in dark environment, the darker it is, the better it works;
  • For few dark color carpets, the reflected stain color will be very close to the color of the carpet, making it harder to see;
  • Remove all batteries if you did not intend to use it for a long time.

With black lights it has to be dark. Pet urine glows and lime green ,very low lime green but it does glow . We have a male puppy who like to mark spot of our house he thinks is his. I could smell it ! Couldn't find it ,this worked . If you don't know ,makes sure it's dark in your house. Do short small sweeps with the flashlight and get close . You'll find so much you never you never wanted to see with this bad boy. Very light weight and feels cheap but it works amazingly .good power for what it is at a nice price point. Definitely recommend.

I like the compact size of this black light. My last blacklight was huge and hard to handle. I rescued two kitties and one had a stressful life before us and will occasionally spray. This identifies the location and I can spot clean right away. Relatively new but works great so far.

It works.. But let me suggest that you have fresh batteries for this thing ready to go.. it uses three AAA batteries. The "new" Chinese batteries that came with mine, were dead on arrival, still tightly and securely, wrapped in the cellophane. I almost sent the thing back, until I tried brand new batteries. It looks and feels solid and durable, nice and compact, easy to use and does the job, and it will take the guess work out searching for that area to clean where your little friend decided to mark.

This black light works fine. The area where you're using it needs to be dark to work well, but that's true with any black lights. I'd buy it again.

When you need a black light to find pee stains, you REALLY need one. This does the job and it uses batteries. Excellent! So you don’t have to hunt high and low all over your house or apartment to find some random charging cable that is lost who knows where. All you need are batteries and you know where you keep those. You probably have a drawer somewhere dedicated to batteries. Bet you do not have a drawer dedicated to charging cables. So, this is a perfect black light to find pee stains. (Not that my Precious ever pees on the carpet.)

For such a tiny light I am surprised! I had another blacklight that I lost and this was a quick replacement, spur of the moment decision. Turns out I like this little pocket sized light better than the other one I had bough. This one is much brighter, I can use it during the day, it picks up spots well. Super impressed.

便座シートに、尿がかかって座ると冷たい時があり、チェックの為に購入しました。便座シートに尿がかけられていたら、ブラックライトで光る為、良いと思います。これで、便座が尿で濡れているか指で確認する必要がなくなりました。
