These Black Rhino frisbees remind me of the Monster K9 frisbee. So far, the Monster K9 is the most durable dog frisbee we have purchased. Those last so very long, beating out even the Kong brand frisbee. The Monster K9 lasts about a year while the Kong lasts about a month. Both Monster K9 and Kong, and now Black Rhino, are flexible soft rubber that hold their shape and fly well. I don't worry about teeth getting knocked out or gums getting cut, which can happen within a couple of throws on regular plastic frisbees humans play with. Based off memory, because the Kong frisbees don't last very long so we quit buying those, the thickness of these Black Rhino frisbees fall in between the Monster K9 and Kong frisbees. They're a little thinner than Monster K9 and a little thicker than Kong. These Black Rhino frisbees are a smaller diameter than both the other brands. The smaller size makes them more manageable for my mini Doxies. If I toss them with a slight upward lift, they land on the floor with a soft pat, making them a great option for indoor play when it's too cold or muddy to go outside. The two dogs were playing tug of war with them, too, and these Black Rhino frisbees look like they are up to the challenge.2/10/25 ETA: The big dog prefers these over the Monster K9 disk. We can throw these farther, and he finds them easier to catch. However, he also likes to vigorously shake his toys, and today one of them tore in the center. It's still throwable for one or two more play sessions. So . . . these Black Rhino flying discs have proven to be not as durable as the Monster K9 disc, but all three dogs prefer these, they're easier to throw, and fly farther.

These are a great size for our current outdoor conditions. Usually, we would go to a park for session of frisbee, but the rainy season has arrived, and we stick closer to home. The small size of these works well for tossing around the back yard. As an added bonus, I can just toss them in the sink whenever they get too muddy. The only downside is if they land flat on the ground, right side up, they are hard for the dogs to get a grip on. They have to claw at them to flip them over, which if fun...but messy. I think that will also lead to them getting damaged by dog nails sooner rather than later. I like these just as well as a kong frisbee we had a couple of years ago, and if the difficulty with the grip could be fixed somehow they would be perfect for us during the winter months.

I have tried every frisbee that is marketed for a dog. My dog chases them every single day, so we must have one that lasts a long time and flies well. Those traits are at odds because most durable frisbees are rubber, heavy, and don't fly well... they usually don't float long enough. Most light ones are typically lighter, harder material that flies well but deteriorates quickly with more tooth marks catch after catch. Competition frisbees are made like this, and a lot of them get thrown away. This one does an excellent job of striking the right balance between flight characteristics and durability. It's one of the smaller discs we've used, which is fine. It flies a little faster than bigger discs, but I think if it were bigger, it might not throw as well. Throwing is easy enough, though may take a few throws to get used to. It does not wrinkle on itself when you throw it like some rubbery discs. Flight speed and duration is perfectly manageable for our blue heeler. Since the material is rubbery, there are no tooth marks whatsoever. This disc will last a very long time. This is a perfect balance of several traits that result in an almost perfect dog disc!In a nutshell:Durability: 10/10Flight control: 8/10Ease to throw: 8/10Flight time: 8/10Cost: 9/10MOST discs do not rate as well as this one!

My first impression of these dog frisbees is that they throw REALLY well. The ones I usually buy are made of foam so they tend to have sloppy flight paths and are driven heavily by the wind. These frisbees feel more like a "real" frisbee or even like a disc golf disc. I can throw them pretty far and very accurately where I want them to be.The downside is that even after a short playtime, I could see significant teeth marks in the rubber material. All dog frisbees wear out eventually, but I fear these will wear out faster than most. If your dog only plays with frisbees to catch and return them, maybe they'll be fine for you. But if your dog also likes to bite and chew on frisbees, then I think these will wear out quickly.

I have always thrown tennis balls for my dog. I read that they are not good if your dog chews them up, that a piece of the tennis ball could get lodged in their throat or intestines. These were well priced and there are two of them so I thought I will give them a try. Unfortunately, my dog will not catch or fetch them. She just looks at it. I tried repeatedly and my wife tried to no avail. I think if your dog is used to catching Frisbees this will work great. It is about half the size of a regular frisbee. It is a nice heavy weight silicone? and definitely water and weather proof. I put one in my truck to give to someone else's dog and one on my work bench. It works great as a screw/bolt holder while working on things. It doesn't move at all and the lip keeps parts from falling out of it. I am glad that i found a use for it; I just wish it was playing catch with my dog!

My Labrador is a frisbee addict. We play at least an hour to two each and every day! She happens to be very particular about her frisbees, but absolutely loves these. The material is a very flexible silicone / rubber type feeling. They are very easy on her mouth to catch, and she loves the texture enough that she has started using them as chew toys. Through all of the abuse, after 3 weeks of daily use, these still look brand new! Would highly recommend.
