These are to be used with safety support transfer straps and I chose these to use to connect assist grip handles and pull up sling straps to transfer devices. They are large, strong, secure, and nothing about them is flimsy or unstable. They can sustain a lot of weight with movement, or stationary, and are better quality than what came with the Medical equipment that it will be attached, which is added comfort and security for me who will be using it. Before My life depended on a full body wheelchair, I was a bodybuilder, but the damage from an injury has baffled physical therapists trying to come up with a way to enable me to move safely and exercise, but good quality hardware like this and comparable straps, combined with the medical support equipment will enable me to exercise from bed as well as Pull up and transfer safely. Thanks to the quality in these carabiners, I don’t have to worry about them becoming a weak link!!! Super service!

I bought these to replace the aluminum spring carabiner I received with my CGM monitor/receiver pouch, the carabiner broke in just a few days of wearing it.So I bought these carabiners & they are very secure with the locking screw closure. These Branded Boards, Black & Silver, Heavy Duty, Bushcraft Locking Thumb Screw Closures are Zinc-Galvanized Steel Carabiners, they have Spring Snap Clips with a secure screw lock that holds a 200-400lb Load.Excellent product, very secure....6 for $7.99...I definitely recommend these!

The product works as designed. It is small and utilitarian. You should not try to use this in any type of life or death emergency situation it doesn't have that kind of strength. It will however work just fine for my sun sail shade and make it easier to take down when it is super windy (it's 20x30 feet).

I should have known better, but I thought for the price these would be worth a try. Wrong. The heavy-duty aside, the pins that secure the hinge are very sharp on one end and catch on anything, including fingers, that get near them. The opening end is also sharp. Just poor manufacturing all around. Not worth the effort to return them. The five star reviews for this product are misleading. I'm giving one star only for the fact that they are so cheap. I just can't really imagine an application for them.
