I've been through a lot of coffee makers, from the most expensive to the cheapest. I can honestly say that this Black and Decker model is by far the best. It's not expensive, yet the coffee is very hot, the delay brew feature works perfectly, and the coffee is ready when I get up.I've seen the comments that the "CL" can't be removed after cleaning it. The instructions are very clear in the instruction booklet. I've cleaned ours many times, and after following instructions, the "CL" is gone. It clearly states after combining 6 cups WHITE VINEGAR and 4 cups cold water is poured into reservoir to PRESS AND HOLD the ON/OFF BUTTON for 4 SECONDS, ON/OFF button LED illuminates (no blinking), "CLEAN" scrolls through the display continuously and the AUTO CLEAN cycle begins. Part of the solution brew through and holds the rest for 30 minutes, then will begin brewing the rest. Whole process takes about 45-60. When it's finished with "AUTO CLEAN" cycle, it shuts off automatically. Immediately Brew a pot of fresh water through it again to clear out any residue from vinegar. Now it's ready to brew coffee again.It's just a matter of following the included instructions.

I love my Black and Decker coffee maker. It is easy to setup and program. You can even set it to make your coffee stronger, which is my favorite part of this machine. It has the delay drip so that you can sneak a cup before it is finished brewing as well. It's also very easy to disassemble for cleaning. I would definitely recommend this one.

This works very well. I want to thank Amazon for putting the manual to my coffee pot here on Amazon! I use mine every day and it requires a cleaning cycle after 60 uses and have no idea where I put the physical manual, and so I needed details to run it, lol. Thank you Amazon!

This is a pretty coffee maker and it brews coffee well!! It’s a little slow when brewing but that adds to the flavor. Sometimes a coffee pot will brew to fast and it doesn’t taste good. This is well worth the money. That too is great. It’s not super expensive. You will like it. The lid isn’t loose it’s holding up well . I’m one who doesn’t have a dishwasher I don’t like them. It’s not louder than any other coffee pot. The material is ok. It’s a good buy

We are really enjoying this coffee maker. I like that I can program it. I set it for about 15 before we get up. That way it's ready as soon as we are. Makes good tasting coffee. I really like that I can make 6 cups for weekdays, yet 12 for weekends. This way I don't have to make 2 pots on the weekend, but during the week I don't waste coffee by having to make too much. The coffee stays hot which is a plus. I recommend it.

I purchased this to replace a version of this coffee maker that was either 20 or 25 years old. I've owned two of the older model and don't know which one I was still using. I wore the plastic cover off the 'Brew' button on it years ago...You couldn't pour coffee out of the old pot (carafe?) without it siphoning up the side of the pot and splattering coffee around the target when it was full. My daughter who has small hands had trouble handling the pot when it was full.Wow! It's amazing when new and improved really is. The pot included with this model looks almost the same but isn't. The handle has been redesigned and my daughter has no problem with it when the pot is full. That surprised me because the handle is actually bigger. The pot itself has been redesigned and coffee can be poured fast without siphoning up the outside of the pot even when it's full. No more coffee splattered around the cup.I like strong black coffee so the 'Strong' option is really nice and produces great coffee. The 'Clean' indicator is a nice feature which reminds me to clean the pot after every 60 brews. It cleans the pot plumbing but misses the outside of the vortex spout (sprinkler?). I now scrub the spout with a brush dipped in vinegar before starting the self cleaning process.I love this coffee maker. I really love the 'Strong' option and not having to be really careful when pouring out of a full pot. Kudos to B&D for the great product improvements.

We bought this one to replace our dead coffee maker. We wanted a programmable one that would start automatically in the morning, and this one fit the bill. Overall it isn't a bad coffeemaker. It makes coffee just fine, and the programmable feature works as expected. Here are some of the pros.1. Programmable "on" timer is easy to use and works well.2. The clean cycle feature is very handy. You just pour in the prescribed mixture of vinegar and water, start the clean cycle, and the machine does the rest.3. The price is rightAnd now for the cons:1. The "Clean" indication periodically comes up to remind you to clean the unit. This is a great feature, but it isn't executed well. The problem here is that it is not based on actual number of times coffee is brewed. It is based on the number of times the unit is turned off and on. The problem there is that we routinely turn it off and back on just before the 2 hour auto off kicks in so that we can force it to stay on longer to keep the coffee hot. This causes it to trigger the "Clean" reminder well before it is actually needed. It would be nice if it had a mechanism to detect scale build-up like Keurigs do.2. The carafe drips very easily when pouring, especially when it is full. It is very hard not to make a mess when pouring a cup of coffee.

I had ordered this coffee maker with Tim Hortons coffee and tried them. I was able to get to 90% range of Timms. Great taste and save me from trips. My advice is to also buy reusable filter with it. Great value for money

Replaces an old B&D coffee maker, the hot plate coating had worn off and the ring around the hot plate had cracked. Also the clock was at the top and was clouded by moisture for a long time. So to be safe, we replaced the machine. This new coffee maker is very similar except the clock is now on the base in hopes that it doesn't collect moisture. This machine doesn't produce steam around the cover while brewing like the old one which is great, however there is significant water inside the cover when opening it to remove the coffee grounds - so much water that we have to tip the cover up just slightly to let the water run down and back into the reservoir; if not, water will be all over the counter behind the machine. We are okay with dealing with the excess moisture on the cover--it was the right price for our budget, the machine isn't overly large and it's a Black & Decker. If it lasts as long as our old machine we will have gotten more than our money's worth. Gave it four stars for the excess moisture on the inside of the cover after a brew.

This is a simple to program coffee machine that works well and does its job. It’s been 6 months since purchasing and no issues at all. It is a bit noisy when brewing but that’s to be expected.Recommended!

Love the product.. easy to use / clean / the flavor it brings...down side for my opinion,,I had to buy a reusable filter basket you can order separate from Amazon.ca ...( i prefer not the paper basket)...I truly trust Black & Decker products..so far so good
