Bought this as my previous 15+ year old trimmer finally bit the dust. I have a larger trimmer that I also use, but I like this 18" one as it's pretty light and maneuverable. No issues with the cord staying properly connected during use. Blades are sharp, plenty of power, and fairly ergonomic. I actually cut down my overall cutting time by about 20% using this newer trimmer. Hope to get another 10+ years out of this one.

I have been using a 22" trimmer for the last 25 years. I have a lot of rounded shrubs that go up to 4-5' in diameter. My old trimmer seemed to only cut well in one direction and was a little heavy. I thought i would get a new one and get a 20". When I read the reviews on the 18" and it was on sale. I decided to try it out. This trimmer is absolutely perfect for trimming ornamental bushes. One thing that I did do which everyone would say is a no-no, is I removed the safety trigger switch. This trimmer is very sharp and I get the trimming done in half the time as compared with my old trimmer. It cuts very clean and is super light weight for one hand operation when reaching. The only thing is that it's not for thick branches. I hope this thing lasts. To do my larger shrubs, I bought a Garcare 2-1 pole trimmer which works very well but is heavy. It would not be good for regular round bushes because it is too long. I don't mind dragging a cord around so to me the perfect set-up is this 18" trimmer for the ornamentals and the pole trimmer for the larger. Don't get the 2-1 pole trimmer.

It works great trimming my short tree I’m 4’11â€120lbs and the weight of this trimmer’s works great for me. I had fun using it and I like electric.

This is a great hedge trimmer, and light enough for me, a woman, to use. It makes quick work of trimming up our hedges, and smaller branches on our trees. Just make sure you lubricate the blades maybe once a year so that it stays in good shape.

I bought to replace an older Black & Decker trimmer. Like a night and day difference. I guess the blades got dull over the years. It was nice that this one could fit in a bit thicker branches to trim. This was a good purchase for me but if I had to do it again, I think I would go cordless. The new brushless tools are surprising powerful and it's nice not to be tethered.
