Your cart is empty. The BLACK+DECKER 6.5 Amp 10 in. electric pole saw means no more climbing on ladders and stools to cut high-hanging tree branches. This electric pole saw provides 9-1/2 ft. of reach, so you can easily trim back overgrowth and tackle pruning tasks in hard-to-access areas. A low-kickback bar and chain ensure smooth, fast cuts, while the automatic oiling system adds convenience. Plus, the lightweight design makes it easy to carry and maneuver while keeping muscle fatigue to a minimum. And because this pole saw runs on electricity, you'll never run out of power.

Wow, this saw works great. It is easy to use and light weight. It remained stable while I was on the ladder cutting the out of control pepper trees from my power and cable lines. Great value when compared to the small fortune I was quoted for a tree trimming service.

The "reach" term used might be misleading to one looking for a pole saw. It takes into account the operator's height and ability to hold the extended saw. (Apparently, they over-estimated my height.)The pole extends to a length of 9.5 feet and this is clearly stated on the box. Read the specifications carefully. The saw works great and, at 6' statue, I am able to cut at about 13 feet. Only used once due to limited amount of yard debris allowed for pickup each week. Eagerly awaiting next week.

I am happy with this purchase. Thr home owner's insurance agent for our condominium required the removal of branches that were touching the buliding from two trees. We got an outrageously high estimate from professional tree trimmers to do this job. Instead I bought this. I had to climb on a porch roof and the flat roof of the building to access the branches. I cut them off in fairly small pieces so there was no chance of the falling branches damaging anything. It went quickly. The job was done in less than an hour, for $400 less than the professionals wanted. The tool was sharp and cut through the branches quickly. It was a little heavy at full extension, but I always made sure that my footing was secure, and I didn't turn the cutter on until the chain was in position. Assembly was straightforward, although it appeared possible to attach the chain assembly upside down if you didn't pay close attention to the instructions. My only complaint was that I had to go to the local hardware store to buy a quart of bar and chain oil. It would have been nice if they had included a few ounces for the first filling of the reservoir.

I couldn't believe how easily this tool cut through 3-4 inch sections of branch, especially since I was on top of a 15 ft ladder. The fact that it is line powered ( vs battery ) is of double benefit since you have unlimited cutting time, and the weight of the 16 ga cord hanging off of the very clever cord loop of the handle actually balances the whole assembly pretty well, you're not constantly straining to hold upthe cutting end to position it when it is mildly extended. Only when I had to fully extend the two piece poleto get at some 2 inch branches on the far side of the tree did positioning the blade become unwieldy.I also used it to cut the branches into 2-3 foot sections on the ground for bundling and recycling. Did a fine job turning all the branches I cut into 3 - 2ft diameter bundles with very little effort. Assembly and setup were easy since I already have a larger electric chain saw, and I think chain life will be excellent since it was like a hot knife through butter from the first cut to the last. If my other chainsaw dies I'd definitely consider a larger Black and Decker to replace it.

I needed a small pole saw for backyard, just light work. It works well and comes with Oregon brand parts which is nice. It uses a normal amount of chain oil and I have not had any leaks in the time I've owned the saw. It's light enough for me to easily move it to saw down tree branches. It's easy to adjust tension and remove cover to clean out when finished using. Its a decent saw for the price and I would recommend it for light backyard work.

Box arrived damaged. Stupid me didn't open the box until a few months later when I finally needed it. The shaft near the head was broken and I had to duct tape it. Too late to return it. It's a little limp now, but it still gets the job done.

Reaches pretty far and the saw cuts amazingly. Very sharp and efficient. I've used it on numerous branches from small twigs to large diameter secondary branches - as much as 5" in diameter. The saw cuts well and leaves clean cuts thereby minimizing tree scarring. I also very much like the automatic oiling capability. The only "watch out" is that you need to make sure the chain tension remains tight. It will loosen up considerably during long use.

Works great! Not too heavy and gives you a good reach for those branches too big for an extendable tree pruner. Saved me a lot of time and the price is good.

The chainsaw works great but the oil does leak when not being used. I would recommend not filling the oil all the way

Yes, it's a bit heavy, but much less than a gas powered model. Cleaned up some branches overhanging the driveway in less than 30 minutes. Pretty well paid for itself in an afternoon! Quite pleased, so five stars. Shipping was fast, and saw simple to assemble with provided instructions. Although it helps if you have some experience with chain saws in general.Just a heads up on the plug connection. It's a round NEMA 5-15 male, so keep that in mind when selecting your extension cord. Also, no place to store the chain tension tool, but a standard slot screw driver will do the trick, so no biggie...Also highly recommend eye and head protection when working overhead. Which is just common sense, but you'd be surprised at the folks who don't!

Cut branches well but it is quite heavy especially when I had to extend it to the maximum. Its heavy weight caused me to accidentally cut some branches that I want to keep.
