My top end went bad on my 1999 Yamaha Pw80. Didn’t want to pay an arm and a leg to have it replaced, so I decided to do it myself. I was skeptical of the quality, and fitment due to the price. However, once I ordered it to give it a shot, I was satisfied with the quality. Everything went together nicely and the bike started right up. This was my first ever top end removal and installment that I did completely by myself. If I can do it you can do it. On the plus side, this one will save you a lot of money!The only thing I would’ve liked is for the silver part to be black just to match other parts on my bike.

After taking top end apart on my pw80 , and putting in new studs the threads on one of studs stripped out, then after I installed piston on to connecting rod, I couldn’t get piston to slide into head, took it back apart and checked bore by sliding piston into bore of head with no piston rings it didn’t even fit piston was too big for bore of head, I wouldn’t recommend this product to anyone, I can’t return because Piston is scarred now, I really want my money back on this product

Head gasket kit damaged. If you are buying this get go ahead and have another gasket kit ready.

Perfect fit and finish...no problems at all during install..only recommendation I have is to better secure the 2 gaskets in the shipping box, otherwise 100%!!

This kit worked great for our pw80, the only reason I gave it 4 stars is that it came damaged in the box.One of the cylinder fins was broken of the cylinder, also the cylinder head gasket was crushed and torn. Luckily the piston rings survived with no damage.I didn’t want to wait for a replacement, so I ended up installing it, we used our old cylinder head gasketAnd it runs like new.Manufacturer definitely needs to put Better packaging inside the box. Once the styrofoam cracks an breaks the cylinder moves around inside crushing everything.
