Tongs came well packaged. They are sturdy and grab hot metal. Hard to mess this one up.

So this is a good beginner tong. It works for flat stock and round stock. I haven't tried it for square stock, but I would imagine it works OK.It gets a little hot after a long amount of forging, you just need to wear a simple leather glove to handle the heat though. The only other thing is that my rivet got really stiff one day, and I had to take my hammer to it a bit to loosen it up again. Not a big deal bit minor things I noticed.

It requires a little shaping so that the handles aren’t spread out as far when gripping but that was expected. Works great!

The teeth and v shape hold almost nothing. Better off going to a blacksmith site and getting a good pair. Will cost you more but would be better in the end. Good of you are doing very small work I guess.

I got these for my beginner blacksmith husband. They're good for the price, but could grip a little better.
