My original blanco stopper went missing after the cleaning crew finished their day and this replacement was exactly what was the old stopper. It was a great price, came in very quickly and functions just like the old one, perfectly.

This piece is simple decoration that snaps into the existing Insinkerator flange that's used to mount your disposer. Mount the disposer normally then this piece snaps in. It's not meant to hold the disposer or be any more than a cosmetic change so your disposer flange looks like the sink material, rather than bright stainless steel. The included instructions say that if you're using an Insinkerator Evolution *Pro* series, you have to remove the OEM Insinkerator rubber splash guard from the flange and use the included Blanco one on the bottom of this trim piece, then install it.However, I was using an Insinkerator Evolution *Essential* model and these instructions don't work at all. I could not snap in the ring into the flange. So I removed the Blanco rubber stopper completely and this piece snapped in perfectly to the flange. I then pressed the Blanco rubber flange down into the Insinkerator flange from the top and it then fit perfectly.Included strainer/stopped works well, although be aware if you unscrew the nut too far, you'll undo the entire thing and the bolt will then drop into your disposer. You'll see what I mean when you attempt to unscrew the nut in the center.

We bought this specifically to be used in the Blanco sink and Insinkerator garbage disposal for which it is made (we actually bought an Insinkerator brand disposal to be certain of compatibility). Aside from the black rubber splash guard, the brown part is actually two pieces—the inner piece is the strainer with the holes and lift knob, and the outer flanged piece is an open sleeve that you push down into your disposal opening to cover its silver rim. Although the flange is plastic and the sink is a marble composite, it's a perfect color match. When I first installed it, I replaced the black splash guard that came with the disposal with the one that came with this flange kit. Then I inserted the outer sleeve into the opening and pushed down until it laid in perfectly. Then we placed the strainer in there and, if the water was running, the sink would fill up even with the strainer in the open position (you turn it one way to drop closed, the other way to lift open). When we turned off the water, we'd have to wait for the water in the sink to drain because it went through very slowly.Upon close inspection of the strainer it seemed obvious what the issue was: The holes allow the water to drop down onto a disk, and the disk is made so the water falls off the outer edge rather than through the hole in the middle. With the strainer laying in the opening, the edge of that disk touches the sides of the opening. The water can't drain off the outer edge of that disk because the disposal opening blocks it, and it can't drain through the inner hole in the middle because that hole is molded with a little "wall" to force the water to the outside. On top of that, the hole in the black rubber splash guard is...you guessed it...in the middle. So the water is expected to fall off the outer edge and the hole in the black splash guard is in the middle, together making drainage very slow. The directions say that it is VERY difficult to remove the flange once it's in there, and that is absolutely true. I called Blanco customer service to ask what the heck I was doing wrong to make the drainage so slow, and the person I spoke to had no idea what I meant when I described the disk and the walled off hole in the middle (at her request I even sent her a picture). After what was an obviously frustrating call for her, she agreed to send me another kit. Good thing, because that VERY difficult to remove flange wouldn't budge and we had to pry it out with a screwdriver which, of course, broke the flange. When the new flange arrived, we couldn't even get that flange to seat all the way down into the opening no matter how hard we pushed down. After all the frustration, my wife decided the silver disposal opening didn't look so bad after all. Now this flange kit sits in the cabinet under the sink, but I don't think it serves any purpose there.

My plumber said that this was too flimsy to install in my new Blanco sink. He actually went to Home Depot to get one he deemed appropriate. It was also much less costly.

First off the color is an exact match to my Blanco sink. Now to the good stuff…I’m a very avid DIY’er to close to a person that could make a living working for myself, so I read all the reviews and decided to take a look myself. FYI… This is not a replacement for the garbage disposal flange that connects the disposal to the sink from underneath. It is a cover that snaps onto the flange from inside the sink. For all the plumbers that fought or will fight to put this on like a regular flange, it won’t work it’s too small to attach the snap ring. Believe me, I tried all the tricks. One thing to note is that you still may have to use the rubber disposal that came with the disposal because the instructions to say to remove it and install the one that came with the replacement flange cover. Again, it won’t work it’s too small too. I used the normal gasket then cut away the inside part that prevents things from falling in because of not there’s essentially two and water is really slow to drain. The only negative about the cover is that it has a larger lip that sticks up around the perimeter of it because it sits on top of the OEM flange which can cause a little water to stand around it. It’s nothing that affects the performance of it but it is a bit annoying. All in all I like the look because it totally matches but it took a lot of trial and error to make it work. I hope this helps the next person that tries to install theirs.

Perfect color match for Blanco anthracite sinks and perfect fit for my Insinkerator Evolution disposal. It does slow the speed that water drains out of the sink but that doesn't bother me. Very pleased.Edit Oct 2020: Still happy with this. It looks great despite daily use -- no loss of color, no chipping, etc. The rubber splash guard started to wear out a few months ago and I took a chance and bought what's available at the big box stores, Insinkerator model QCB-AM splash guard. Even though it's slightly larger than the original rubber guard, you can get it to fit by working around the edge and pushing it evenly down into the flange. It doesn't sit as low as the original, but it fits and works just fine. The top of the splash guard is still lower than the edge of the flange. I added a new picture with the replacement rubber guard.

I returned this item as it turned out to be more trouble than it was worth. Stayed with the standard insinkerator stainless steel ring.
