I'm usually between M/L, and I went with M. The shorts are a little tight, but they're stretchy so it's not a big deal. This is a lightweight set that will be good for summer nights and/or tropical vacations. The shorts are baggy and have pockets. I could see separating this and pairing either piece with a black top/shorts for new looks. I think this set is great for the summer season.

This summer shirt and shorts set is adorable. I'm 5'4", 129 lbs. so I ordered a medium according to the size chart and the top fits perfectly, but the shorts are pretty small in the waist. Unfortunately, they have a wide elastic band so I'm not sure there's a way to stretch them out. They are small enough that they left marks on my tummy from how tight the elastic is and I wore them for less than five minutes. So the size of the top doesn't match the size of the bottom on this set and I wish I could order a medium top with a large bottom because the set really is cute and the fabric is nice and light for summer.I'm going to see if I can stretch out the waistband on the shorts and if not, I'll likely end up returning them. Note: there is a tag on the shirt that says it can only be returned if the tag is still attached, so it's not like I can wear the top with a different bottom until I know if the shorts waistband will stretch out.

I got the red gingham. The set is as pictured, but the fit is off. The top was on the looser side, while the shorts fit and were a little shorter than I'd like.I am 5'9", 140ish lbs, 32/34B bra and usually wear small or medium depending on brand. I typically select a medium in matching sets, and the top is too boxy.The fabric is thinner and breathable, not necessarily poor quality, just more like a tablecloth. The construction of the garment is good.

Love this 2-piece set! The style and color are great. Sizing is true to size. Material is a thicker material but not heavy. Great for spring, summer and even fall weather. You can wear the shirt like a vest or an actual shirt. Can easily be business casual or everyday casual wear. Great product. Happy with this find.

I thought this set looked cute and it would be perfect for the beach and for weekend summer trips. Not so. I’m not sure if I will be able to incorporate either of these pieces into my wardrobe, sadly.For $26 (at time of review) this short set isn’t quality enough to rate higher than a 3. If it was more bargain-priced I may have gone with a 4.I ordered large. It fits more like a medium. The waist in particular is super tight and uncomfortable. The chest buttons are also straining.The fabric is pretty fairly thin. The workmanship is decent. If you do want this set I’d order a size up.

This is a thin, but not see through, gingham short set. The shirt definitely feels closer to a vest to me, but it is very cute. This would be perfect for late spring or summer. It would really be great over your bathing suit, since it airs well and should encourage drying of wet suits.
