This food has cleaned up my dogs yeast in the ears and skin because of his food allergies. Prescribed by my vet. It took years to find a vet that knew what was going on! And finally a food that works for my golden retriever!

Great product so far although the pups seemed to have become rather gaseous after we switched to this brand/flavor. The pups love it though. We switched to this as a recommendation by our vet. One of our dogs has a skin condition and the vet recommended we use this type of chow. I would recommend for anyone that has a dog that needs some extra nutrients for skin conditions.

Prescribed by a Veteranarian Dermatologist for my 10 year old Havanese. He has been tormented for years with skin allergies. I tried every kind of special diet but he either still had the allergies or would not eat it. So we tried this food and while he doesn’t love it, he does eat it and he is 100% better. The only thing is the fish smell all over him.

This is very slightly cheaper than the other prescription food I need to buy for my dog. However, it might also be a slightly smaller weight bag.Either way, I'm happy with this salmon flavor; it's one that he finally will eat.

I was sent cat food for my dog who is on a Hydrolized protein prescription diet.I clearly marked "Dog" and was sent cat food that delayed my order. After receiving the right food, my little dog got really sick after I did a light introduction of this food. I'm not sure I can recommend this food for any dog. I use Royal Cainine that has been very good for my little guy ...

Vet recommended for a dog with forming amonium strurites crystals. Only dietary food my dog will eat. However, you only carry canned food my dog will only eat the dry version.

Typically, a dog is on a prescription diet because of food intolerances. The expectation is the manufacturer will not change that dog food for this reason, and if they do, they would advertise it on their bag, so people are aware, before dropping $113 for a 22 lb bag. Blue Buffalo recently changed this formula, which gave my dog severe intestinal issues. They said they only removed the “lifesource†bits, but the dog food was also darker in color. We had to change our dog’s food, which sucks, because it creates intestinal issues for her for over a week. Very disappointed in Blue Buffalo.
