Attractive, well-made, easy to use, takes up no space, keeps the odors down, cleans up easily. I like the basket/drain feature -- just dump the effluent down drain and keep piling on the kitchen scraps. No need to run out to the compost bin in the yard, too often, since the scraps stay dry without turning into goo overnight. The best kitchen compost bin I've seen.

I ordered this compost bin in white and so far I am loving it. It has a nice clean look to it. I like that even though it's plastic and lightweight, it's pretty sturdy. I read in a review that the side handle broke off. I would never carry it by that side handle. It has a nice handle that swings up to use and then lays down the side of the bin when not carrying it. The lid removes so it's easy to line the bin with a bag but still has a nice tight seal to keep odors in and fruit flies out.I also ordered biodegradable bags for it so I can empty the bin easily.Just ordered the smaller one in green for our travel trailer and I can't wait to get it!Highly recommend.

Like the compact size for a household of two. Fits perfectly in a corner of my deep kitchen sink.The strainer is handy since compostable bags can leak if left in over several days. Easy to clean. Most importantly keeps insects out due to tight seal.Dislike the lid lifting fingerhold design. Due to the tight seal I have to exert a lot of finger pressure to get it off. Slips if fingers are even damp and I have arthritis in mine which makes it more difficult. So I usually pry the edges up with my fingers. I think the strainer handle and container handle could be designed differently so that the composter is more compact without them compromising the overall capacity. Overall it is a big improvement over my Folgers coffee can composter.

This nice, easy-clean compost bin has three separate parts -- the base bin, which has a swinging handle, an interior perforated air-circulating container with its own separate handle, and a tight lid. This is a great compost bin for small kitchens, because it works just as well on the floor next to your garbage can as it would on a countertop (I have no room to spare on my tiny counters). All three parts are easy to wash by hand, but are safe in the top of the dishwasher, too. Excellent item!

Made very well. Small enough to fit in cabinet under sink. However it holds a lot of food scraps. Love that it is easy to clean.

We are very happy with this bin. Perfect size for our small family and really contains the smell. It also has helped us win the battle of the gnats or drain flies in our kitchen. I also love that I can run it through the dishwasher if necessary. Normally I just hand-wash after it has been emptied.

This little compost bucket is a great design and is a perfect size for a kitchen counter top. The mesh basket lets liquids collect in the bottom so the solids are separated from the liquids and you don't end up with a sloppy mess in the large compost bin heading to the city composing facility. The handle on the basket is a bit flimsy, but I think, with careful handling, it will last a long time. The blue color we got is nice looking and is nearly a perfect match with the color shown on-line.

I like the clean look of it, since it needs to sit on the counter. The size is good for an indoor, countertop situation. But:You need two hands to open it, which is not convenient since I usually have egg shells, lemon peels, a coffee maker, etc., in one hand. I appreciate that it needs to be a tight fitting lid, for odor and pest control, but I want a hinged lid with a one-hand release of some sort.You need two hands to dump it. It’s too wide to hold with one hand and empty into the the outdoor bin. The handle swings so you can’t use that to inver the bin. Also, the drainer basket will fall into the outdoor bin, and I’ve had to reach into the wet garbage to fetch it out (yuck). I have to put my hands at the rim of the container to dump it and usually get coffee grounds and “compost juice†on my hands, or down my arm. Gross! There needs to be a stable handle that can be used to invert the bin, and shake the organic material into the outdoor bin. The basket should lock inside.I bought the white one, and its surface absorbs stains from coffee grounds, fruit/veg trimmings. Not ideal.I’m looking for something easier to use.

I really like this compost bin. The only thing I'd change is the handle grip on the inner liner basket. It shoud be sturdier and more comfortable. It's what I'd describe as a "half handle". If it would a full handle (circumfrance is completely round in the handle, it would be perfect when removing the inner liner basket when it has contents The other recommendation is it would be great if it had a lid that you can open and close and even remove when washing. I find the lid to be very secure but most often difficult to remove when you're tossing something into the compost bin. I have to remind myself to remove the lid first then toss. I think this is because I became spoiled by another product I had which has an open and close lid. Having said this, the secure lid ensures any bad scent is locked in.These are minor points only. I really like that is is compact, nice looking and I love that it has that inner liner basket to drain any compost liquid. Sometimes due to room temperature, the compost bag I place in the bin starts to decompose quickly and compost liquid ends up in the bottom of the bin. With this style of compost bin I can strain the "liquid gunk" out before I dump everything into a new compost bag. The carry handle is great, and the bin is extremely easy to clean.All in all, I thnk this product is great.

Ich benötigte einen kleinen Bio Mülleimer für die Küche und bin mit diesem wirklich sehr zufrieden. Sehr gute Qualität und gut durchdacht. Der Deckel schließt auch luftdicht wenn man ihn bereits mit einen Bio Müllsack auslegt. Tolle Sache.

Nickel je suis ravie de ce composte il garde bien au sec avec la passoire et a une bonne capacité qui nous tient la semaine ! J'équilibre avec des morceaux de boîte d'oeuf mais il n'y a pas d'odeur, pas de moucherons et il se manipule très facilement !

This counter top compost bin is stylish and really practical. The bluey colour goes perfectly in my kitchen. Good size, holds enough without taking up too much room. No smell (but it is Autumn - the real test will be next Summer). The model I went for has a handle on the outer container and one on the inner container. They seem well made and suitable for their use. The inner container is a good design, any liquid drains through to the bottom. I’ve found it easy to empty and clean. Although more expensive than my previous OXO bin, I think this one is better designed, so worth it! So far, only positives…!
