I bought this quilt as a bedspread for my bed. It is just as I had hoped- the resist-dyed indigo is gorgeous, and creates a rich centerpiece to my room. It is much more thin than a typical American quilt (this seems to be two layers of fabric, but I don’t discern any batting in between ). However, for my purposes as a bedspread this is not a problem.

It is very lightweight and the stitching is delicate - my dogs could destroy it too quickly. But it’s so beautiful that I keep it as an accent on the end of my bed.

The size fit perfectly. The value for the item is excellent. Love the blue color and the stitching. Can be used on either side.

Ok, most things you order are always smaller than anticipated but this bigger than I expected so I am happy about that. Pattern is a little different but when I looked at it online again, it wasn't, it just never showed the whole thing fully unfolded. It has a few very minor flaws, no knots, a little smelly, and a few of stitches have been pulled loose in the middle, but its handmade and I was pretty much expecting that. Description on Amazon said Dry Clean and that the dye would run. But I followed the advice of another review who washed hers on delicate with a cup of vinegar to minimize bleeding and dried on low. Its almost all the way dry now but its much softer (less stiff), smells better and you'd never know if any color was lost! A perfectly lightweight "quilt" for summer! I would definitely order another one!

This is the second Kantha I have purchased from this seller. The first was a very colorful turquoise, fruit and flower print (reviewed here previously). I was so thrilled with the quality of the stitching on that one. This second indigo dyed Kantha is a very nice hand block print, and the border goes around all 4 sides. Although the stitching was not quite as well done as the last order, I am still very happy with the result and it's way better than many others I've seen. I was absolutely floored that I received this quilt from India (via Fedex) in four days (and not via an expedited shipping request)! Buying a Kantha online can be a bit risky because one never knows what the quality will be like. So far, this vendor has not disappointed. Whoever they have stitching these fabrics together, they are clearly taking their time to do a good job. It shows in the quality of the stitching. I also washed this Kantha when I received it on a gentle, short, cold wash cycle and added 1 cup of vinegar to the wash cycle to prevent color bleed. Then did a wrinkle release, low heat cycle in the dryer. Came out beautifully.

Rich colors. Matched perfect with my navy blue themed linens. Great quality and print. Has a sophisticated and unique appeal because you don't find pieces like that easily in brick and mortar stores.

This is gorgeous! I love the imperfections of the hand made prints. What removes one star for me is that unfortunately there is a small hole in the fabric. I’m choosing to just embrace it as being handmade, however not everyone would love that.

I really love this. It's very generously sized, I'm using it for a summer couch throw. I just love the indigo colour and the pattern. It's very light, I think just 2 layers of fabric.
