Arrived a bit sooner than expected. Able to install it the next day with a little help from a friend. The instructions were spot on and a great help. It fits exactly as it should and is mostly hidden just behind the grill but with enough room to attach the tow bar to with out difficulty. Have used it and it performed flawlessly. The only problem encountered was putting the air-dam fascia and fender well liner fasteners back on. Some are short and some are longer. You need to make sure where they came from initially - which we didn't do on one side the first time. Other than that everything is straight forward. The baseplate and hardware are real quality products.

I am mechanically inclined, I am female and with the help of my husband and son, we put this on ourselves. Couldn't have done it without the help of a youtube video. It was easy and straight forward with the video. It looks great and works great, as we pull our Honda behind our RV.

The Baseplate fit like a glove. I did the install myself. The instructions provided with the baseplate were OK, but the baseplate install video on Utube for a 2014 Honda CRV was excellent. I had no problems following those instructions to prepare to remove the facia. On the written instructions provided with the baseplate, there were instructions about removing 4 yellow clips to remove the facia from the grill. Removing those clips are impossible. You have to squeeze the clip on the north, south, east and west sides at the same time, and you are able on only get one hand into the area. Impossible. The video instructions said to briskly pull the grill away from the car and what do you know, the grill and facia came off easily and in one piece. It went back just as easily when completed. This was my first attempt at "body work" so I went at it slow and carefully. My only rough patch when I installed the baseplate was I had to wallow the holes between the baseplate and the frame with a drill bit a little to allow the bolts to pass through. The video instructions were vague on how to install the 2 security cables around the frame and baseplate, but I feel I did it satisfactorily. The facia went back on the car without problems. The baseplate is concealed very nicely. I pre-wired my CRV a month before installing the baseplate, so I have pulled my CRV twice already. Pulls as good as my 1997 CRV does.

This baseplate was exactly as advertised. I will say that if you are thinking of installing it yourself go to the Blue Ox website and download the installation instructions. They are complete and I will tell you they are not kidding that the yellow clips are difficult to release.We found a set of needle nose pliers that are curved toward the jaws so when closed they have an open area that fit nicely around the second set of needle nose pliers so you can get to all 4 sides at once.Also be extra careful when placing the removed grill section that you get it lined up with the upper portion of the bumper cover.

Perfect fit for my 2012 Honda CR-V. Hardly noticeable when you take out the two hitch attachment pins. Great product!Note: I had mine professionally installed, but the company said they had no issues at all.
