This is a great little tool that works as advertised. The blue tooth phone app works great, so good I haven’t bothered to use the Bluetooth thumb drive sold separately. It can be zeroed for how it is placed and then monitored. The software is good. I ziptied the module to a high strength magnet which allowed me to move it easily to different location for use as a vibration monitor not exactly what it was meant for but it works well.

So it is a bit of a pain in the butt... stuff to complain about:1. Make the cable so that you can transmit via USB... it is 2 whole wires. I would gladly pay $2 extra dollars for the extra wires.2. Make sure that your solder connections between the bluetooth board and the actual gyro board are good... mine needed a bump3. For pity sake, get someone that actually speaks English to write your manual and include the documentation for the bluetooth and where the led light are located...That being said...1. Once I took it apart and got the blue light to come on for the bluetooth, Windows 10 found it flawlessly. Found it even after I removed power and replugged it back in.2. Adding a $1 AA battery pack to the gyro makes it cable free which is most excellent. The AA pack that holds 3 battery powers the gyro beautifully.3. The software is excellent except for the fact that once you start the record, there isn't a STOP button anywhere to be found... it ran all night and saved the data... oh my!To all the people that gave this a 1 star due to the fact that you cannot ship via air with a battery installed, get a battery pack and solder it into place. I managed... took all of 3 seconds.So the part numbers that you need for research:BWT901CL - which is what you purchased which includes:HC-06 - this is the part number for the bluetooth module. If you ask google for the data sheet, it will find it.JY901 - this is the actual gyro boardThe switch on the side does nothing... when the unit is plugged into USB power there should be a red light and a blue light above the switch. If the blue never lights off, the solder on pins 12 and 13 need a touch up... you need a very small (tiny) solder tip on your iron to fix it.The software is on the wit-motion.com web site. You will need chrome and the google translate to read it and find the downloads... you need the software for the JY901... and not for the actual part number.I hope that this helps everyone who purchases one of these. Get over the battery problem guys... this girl that has used gyros for aerospace that cost thousands of dollar and are not bluetooth, this one is excellent for the application that we are using it for, gets rid of a ton of cabling and comes with its own data collection software with software source samples.Have a wonderful day!

It worked with the test software of Witmotion on first try, great attention from Kyle from support team, unfortunatly I am not experienced enough to link the device to a head tracker software, which was my first purpose, but nothing to do with the quality nor performance of the device, only my lack of knowledge. I would recommend WitMotion products , great price and awesome customers' support.

Working building a Raspberry Pi application to measure accelerations in a car from the road surface. Device is extremely good for measuring 3-axis accelerations. I had some difficulty finding sample code for the Raspberry Pi but Lucy at Wit-Motion user support quickly provided excellent sample programs for various platforms. You will have a lot of fun with this device.

I bought this sensor because my tablet lacked sensors needed for an application I wanted to run. I followed the instructions. Downloaded the latest app off their Google Docs site for this particular sensor and then connected to the device via bluetooth. The app and sensor paired flawlessly. So, then I downloaded a couple apps (Sensor Tool and Sensor Toolbox) so I could get the details on the current installed and provisioned sensors. The sensor components did not show up at all for this device. So, then I plugged it in using the TTL (USB) connection. Again, the WitMotion app saw the sensor and I was getting input from it. However, the native app I wanted to use didn't see it and the sensor apps I installed didn't see it either. Bummer. I was hoping to find a way to quickly add functionality to my Android Device but apparently this isn't the way. Maybe a virtual driver or some soft of translation layer could be written? But I am not a developer and I wasn't able to find anything from the GitHub or the GDocs drive they pointed me too. I really wish they replied to my email enquires about this before I wasted resources getting it and testing it and then sending it back. Probably will end up in a landfill somewhere.... What a waste.

I thought this was useful but I cannot find where to load the software. Scanning the QR code says that it is unavailable. Try searching for Witmotion on the Play Store and it isn't there. I can't tell you if this product is worthy of trying or junk. Since the company is not responsible enough to stay on top of these issues I don't find them worthy of business. I call it junk.

Muy facil de configurar, su bateria dura mucho tiempo en operacion, muy ligero y compacto, y muy preciso en sus lecturas (a pesar de un precio muy razonable)No se que mas pueda decir, supera las expectativas

Programmes en Français et Anglais non disponible comme c'est indiqué sur le site avant d'acheter l'article. Donc je n'ai pas pu encore essayer cet article.

NOT COMPATIBLE WITH APPLE DEVICES.Description indicates that it is a Bluetooth 2.0 device, then further down in the comparison chart it says it's 5.0 BLE (Which should work with iOS)This device would not show up on my iPhone, or Mac unless I used special software to find it.Once found, it could not connect at all.Do not waste your time with this.

Todo funciona muy bien. Sólo que al tratar de operar vÃa Bluetooth el dispositivo por más de 15 minutos a una computadora, se pierde la conexión (claro, que no invertà tiempo en revisar si alguna configuración lo resuelve, casi seguro que asà sea). Pero conectado vÃa Bluetooth al móvil sin problema o vÃa USB a la computadora sin problema. Definitivamente comprarÃa de nuevo
