Crimps can be surprisingly expensive, and I decided to try these Blue Wings. #1 was the smallest size available but it had no problem with 60 pound line as seen. Though a short crimp, it still adequately overlapped my crimp jaws, resulting in a nice bell crimp as seen above. We use a lot of 80-100 pound double hook drop shot rigs for snapper and other bottom fish. With any crimp I burn the tag end so it can’t slide open. Anglers may want to try these crimps, which are well finished and evenly constructed.

So if you do some research, any crimp that is shorter than 15mm is considered a mini crimp, which this is. But the crimp seems thick and uniform and worked fine for my use.

I used these to crimp fishing line together so I could restring a wind chime. They worked great and hold the line very securely.
