This sugar dispenser is made of nice thick glass. It's as described and the perfect size. Not as large as in a diner but perfect for use in a home. Hols plenty of sugar. Some said the flap on top was too flimsy. I don't see a problem but can see why they'd say it as the flap is very lightweight as compared to the lid.

Sent as a gift, definitely brings back childhood memories of diner visits with grandma, easy to fill & use, perfect size for most hands, easy to clean, looks great in pair at any eatery.

This classic diner-style sugar shaker is perfect for my household. It's by far the easiest way to dispense sugar without spills; even small children can easily hold and maneuver it. The flip-top pour spout makes for a quick, easy stream of sugar in coffee or cereal. I can even use it with measuring cups when following a recipe. The screw-off lids are easy to remove for refilling. Sometimes old classics, in their humble simplicity, are the best. It's certainly true in this case! I highly recommend it.
