I followed the advice about sizes running too small and ordered a size up for my tall 7 year old. He is wearing an 8/10 and it fits loosely but not baggy.

We ordered a 7/8 for our average size 6 year old, it fits like a 4T. We thought it might perform better in dance class than it looked. It didn't. His mid drift was exposed any time his arms moved and he had to pull it back down anytime his arms went above his head. We determined immediately to return it for the next size up, only to realize too late that the return policy requires the tags to be attached. So, $25 in the trash on this one. If this is your last resort, order two sizes up.

These are great shirts for boys for dance, but they are cut very short. The size 12 isn't much longer than the size 8. When a boys lifts their arms the shirt pops right up over the pants and exposes the midriff. If they were 2 inches longer they'd be perfect.

The material and cut of this shirt was perfect but The xl was too short for my 100 lb 5ft son.
