The role of the Slow-blow fuse：The slow-blow fuse is also called a
time-delay fuse. Its delay characteristic is maintained in the circuit
when it has a non-fault pulse current and can protect against long-term
overload. Some circuits have a current greater than a few times
the normal operating current at the switching instant. Although
this current peak is very high, it occurs for a short period of time.
We call it a pulse current or an inrush current or a surge current.
Ordinary fuses can not withstand such currents. If such a circuit
uses an ordinary fuse, it may not be able to start normally. If a larger
fuse is used, it will not be protected when the circuit is overloaded.
The melt of the time-delay fuse is specially processed to absorb
energy. By adjusting the energy absorption, it can resist the inrush
current and protect the overload.

I bought an old Ryobi drill set at a garage sale and the charger did not work. I picked up the five-piece set for cheap with the information that the batteries and charger may not work. I decided to open the charger and see if I could fix it without electrocuting myself. I saw that the fuse was blown and could not find the exact same one. I bought these as the closest equivalent as they were the exact same configuration with an extra amp of resistance. Long story short, I have a working charger and one of the two batteries works perfectly. I still have a lot of backups if I should ever blow the fuse another 15x.

My dometic refegerator stopped working on electricity and worked on gas only in my Rv. Thanks to Youtube, I didnt even bother to look to see if a fuse was the problem. In the video the man said, he had a hard time locating a slow blow fuse. Which is what the refegerator required. It took longer to walk across the yard to the mailbox, it than to repair my refegerator with this fuse. Also, Thank you amazon for one day delivery.

This is not a slow blow fuse. If slow blow fuses are what you need, get something else.
