I purchased these floating candles for inside my centerpiece lanterns for my son’s rehearsal dinner.I trimmed the wicks to 1/4 inch prior to lighting in order to keep flame smaller. They lasted well through my event. I will buy again as these were better quality than those I normally purchase at the craft store. I also liked the shape of the candle better too.

Good wax -- produced no underlying black smoke issues and no unwanted scent. What's more, they are even-burning, down to the very end. If you ever have had issues with your floating candles getting to a certain depth and then burning down a little lopsided to the end, you'll really appreciate these.
