Doing some experiments that require measuring local temperatures on a solar panel with a thermocouple. Tried using some strong masking tapes for this task, but they could not withstand the 250 degree temperatures. This tape seems to hold up exceptionally well. Even an observation here is that the tape actually holds better at higher temps than it does lower temps.

On the bench today, I’ve got some BOMEI PACK Wide Blue Heat Transfer Tape, 150mm × 33m (108ft) Heat Tape High Temperature Resistant Tape for Tumbler Sublimation Print,Heat Transfer Tape, Heat Vinyl Press Tape, No Residue. It’s wide, translucent, heat resistant tape. Plenty sticky without leaving the stickiness behind upon removal. It is what it claimed to be so I can’t fault it.

Using this for paint masking. The adhesive is a little stronger than I'd prefer for this application, but it would probably be great if you don't plan to remove the film.

Ordered to use as a cost effective (but maybe overkill) version of transfer tape for daughter's Cricut machine. She was pretty excited about it and is confident that it will work well to help transfer complicated designs.

I love this stuff and wish I'd found it sooner. I like to rotate the surface of my printer with blue tape and the 'naked' PEI, it seems to work for adhesion, but that could be entirely anecdotal. One way or another, this is a third texture to add in to the rotation. Also, the 150mm width means that I can cover my Elegoo Neptune 4 Max (430mm x 430mm) in 3 passes, which is so much easier than the 10-12 pieces of blue tape. Doesn't curl, bubble, or warp, I would certainly recommend it.

I thought this was a big role of kapton (polyimide) tape but it's actually polyester. My fault, I didn't read the description enough. Kapton has about twice the heat tolerance (up to 700+F, while polyester tape gets soft and melty around 400+F). That said, I still have plenty of uses for a big thick six inch wide roll of heat resistant tape. The adhesive used is in fact hesitant to leave a residue which is nice.

I've been experimenting with laser-cut vinyl patterns for the holidays, and the smaller transfer tape rolls just weren't cutting it for the larger patterns. This roll is wide enough to cover my stencils in a single strip, vastly simplifying the removal and transfer. I should have sprung for the wide roll in the first place. Lesson learned! I'm quite happy with this larger roll.

This is PTFE tape. It is extremely heat resistant. Great for projects like transferring with heat to shirts and tumblers. This is also great for high temp electronics and 3D printing jobs!
