For Turbo-hydramatic - 350 / 375 / 400 (3L80) / 425 / 475
For Ford - C4, C5 & C6
For Ford - AOD / AODE
For Ford - ATX
For Torqueflite "6" (904) / (30RH)
For Torqueflite "8" (727) / (36RH)
For GM - 700-R4 (Must be out of case. If you are working with it in the case you will need a T-0149.)
For GM - 4L60, 4L60E, 4L65E, 4L70
Features:
Universal clutch drum spring compressor. Adjustable for most transmission types.
6" long legs especially designed for deep drums. Similar to Atec Trans-Tool T-0158-HD.
Applies pressure to the retaining washer in the clutch drum to compress the clutch piston return spring, in order to remove or install the snap ring during clutch repair or transmission overhaul.
Note: Does not do rear case pistons.

Product is decently built, works well as it’s intended. Was able to compress that big spring in the 42RLE drum no problem. And has a good veriety of adjustments. Highly recommend for a diy-er and the at home builder.

This universal press works great and many different transmissions if your a trans builder like myself and it’s a good price for a simple effective tool I’d buy it again seems to be made well so far

The screw needs a washer or a bearing to sit on. The head that holds the arms on fell off. And it can still work. But metal or some kind of shavings fall off from use with no bearing. But otherwise its easy to use and good size to fit in my closet. Only using it to work on like 3 transmissions. But fall apart on the 1st transmission like the 3ed use. Still usable. If anything I can upgrade the screw and nut on mine.

It's worth every penny for saving you the time doing it any other way. Go ahead and buy it because you'll see what I'm talking about. I tried the old fashioned way and adapt and overcome with insufficient tools. I'd rather be a couple dollars out of my pocket and then the aggravation that this tool takes away. I was just about ready to throw a wrench across the garage then I realize that they had a spring compressor like this. Holy moly.

Working on a 6L90, it works as it should, except for one basket that has the shaft on it. The feet should be a couple inches wider, and maybe longer to accommodate bigger baskets. Other than that, works as it should.
