HISTORY
Bont Skates was founded in Sydney in 1975 when Inze Bont, a recreational short track ice speed skater decided to fiberglass the back of his leather speed skates to gain more support. Bont quickly became the world's largest producer of ice speed skates and then branched out into inline speed skates, quad speed skates, roller derby skates, and long track speed skates. Bont was the first footwear manufacturer to use exotic material like fiberglass in 1974, Kevlar in 1986 and Carbon Fiber in 1989, and the first to use heat moldable resins and thermoplastics. Bont was also the first company to use adjustable ice blades and remains the world's largest producer of speed skates and custom speed skates.

I never thought that I could be so happy about a pair of laces! These laces are the ultimate. They look good and seem nearly indestructible. The wax coating makes them stay tight and lock in place, without coming undone. I love these laces!

Sorry I don't have any pictures since I'm writing this well being a passenger, but the laces were so nice and they were thick. I don't have to worry about pulling them and having them break when I'm tightening my skates. A little long for me but they fit right I just don't use all of the lace holes. The wax on the laces also prevents your laces from coming randomly undone. Great laces I love them 🤌ðŸ¼

I was expecting these laces to be a little more waxed than they were but they are better than the stock laces that came with my Rollerblade E2 Pro 125 skates. The laces are waxed just enough that they hold good when pulling the laces tight.

These are my favorite laces because they have minimal stretch, and with the wax, they stay put for a 2+ hour rolker derby practice or bout day.

I love having a spare set of laces so if I'm on a long trail skate I can easily pull them out of my fanny pack. The fact that they're waxed means they aren't loosening on me while on long distance skates which is a huge plus.

Love the waxed laces. Bought a few, different colours. They stay done up, well. Like the better than unwaxed.
