About this item

  • TOPWATER LURE: Mocks the frog apperance for hungry topwater bass eaters
  • HOOK STRUCTURE: Features a super-strong double hook and spinnerbait-style legs
  • INCLUDES: 1 Pad Crasher fishing lure

BOOYAH made quite a splash with the Pad Crasher, a hollow-body frog perfect for throwing in the slop and weeds. The body is structured enough to keep the bait 100 percent weedless to come over and across sloppy weedbeds, yet soft enough to ensure a solid hookset when a bass strikes. The new Pad Crasher Jr. duplicates this balance in a smaller size. It treads lightly and presents a smaller profile, yet it retains enough weight to be thrown on baitcasting gear. Both Pad Crashers feature a superstrong double hook and spinnerbait-style legs.

Nice topwater frog lure, these are about 1/2 oz. Great for working vegetation where no other lure can go. Just be aware that you will get some take downs that do not hook up. Being the most snag proof lure of all time does make it hard to hook the fish, but when you do, hold on for the ride!

Great frog at a great price point. The plastic is not to stiff and allows for a great hookset

It's that time of year where your playing guessing games as to what bass prefer to eat. The water is warm they are under lily pads so I use this frog to cast on to the lily pads to bounce around to get a strike. This is a decent frog , well made. Most noticeable is it doesn't take in water as much as others. A good lure for the arsenal so before writing a negative comment watch some videos how to fish it

I’m always frog fishing for largemouth in the summer and these pad crashers are by far the best I’ve ever tried. Good weight for long casting but doesn’t get caught up in the heavy muck. Stout sharp hooks that never straighten. Nice and watertight so you don’t need to squeeze it out every cast. These are the best period.

The pad crasher is robust and casts great, plus it has great action. I mainly use them for snakeheads in Asia, the flat profile allows them to actually get a proper hold of it; I find this improves hookup rates compared to frogs like Lunkerhunt ones.p.s. I trim the skirt to about half, which really helps reduce those short strikes.

Fished this recently when there wasn't much underwater action happening. Worked across lily pads and caught about 8 decent bass in handful of hours. Doesn't snag on weeds, doesn't fill with water easily, and is fun to work. The body is soft enough for easier hookups (compared to others I've used).

I like this a lot. Had great action, gets plenty of attention from fish, though it takes a second to figure out when to set the hook with the upward facing hooks, but my only complaint is that it fills with water after a few casts. I kept having to squeeze the lure to get the water out because it kept going below the water line. That really ruins the action of the frog and doesn't let you get as many casts out as you'd like. This is my first time using a frog so I'm not sure if that's normal, but it seems like a bad design to constantly fill up with water for something that's supposed to float on top.

I honestly prefer the lunker frogs. Despite some negative reviews those frogs are freaking golden in the water and the combat frog can just navigate between weeds. But the legs fall off and make your awesome frog kind of crappy kind of soon. So the next best thing is these frogs just because of the traditional leg skirts lasting forever. And overall they're great frogs anyway.

If you fish, and you have dense growth on your lake and you can get to it with your boat, these have to be the most fun topwater lure ever. Don't get me wrong, on the lakes, I don't get hit every time I cast, but if the large mouth are feeling aggressive (early to mid-morning), when they pound the water after this lure, it's fun as...(you know what). They aren't cheap, but unless you get a pike that hits them, they should last for many days on the water and hook good fish. The first time I used them as soon as I hear a splash, I tried to set the hook. Just remember, count to 2 or 3, then set the hook. The other suggestion, is bend the hooks slightly back a little so that you actually can get a hook.
