I had been looking for a glass milk pitcher for a little while - as glass is better to sanitize for our raw milk vs the plastic I had been using. Seals well and won't spill. Holds just over a 1/2 gallon (as stated). Have to pour a bit slow/cautious due to spout size/configuration - you'll discover this with the first use. It's a stout & short little container and still fits on refrigerator door. I don't have any issues with the smaller handle, but I do have small hands. I don't recall seeing this in the directions, but the lid comes completely apart for cleaning (gasket, plus 3 plastic pieces) - which I didn't discover until using it for about a month (had always removed the gasket ring, but didn't disassemble the others). To do this, the rectangular piece on top will pry/pop off and then you unscrew the 2 threaded pieces. Nice pitcher has been perfect for my filtered raw goat milk. Stays fresh and can keep the container clean. The seal also keeps out any 'refrigerator' taste (or any other items that have a stronger smell that you store in your frig - like broccoli or hard boiled eggs). Wish I had found and purchased this sooner.

Love the thick glass. Wide mouth is easy to add fruit and easier to clean, you can get your hands and scrubbers all the way into the bottom of the pitcher. Great for my decaf sweet tea! I brew the tea in my pot, add sweetener and let cool on cooktop. Once room temperature, pour into my glass pitchers and they are easily stored either on top shelf or in door of fridge. I love mine.2024: Three years later and still in love! I now have 3 of the 68-ounce size and 2 of the 33.75-ounce size too! Contemplating 2 more 33.75 oz size!

Everybody knows cold drinks that are in glass are colder and more delicious than those in plastic. Only problem is, glass is heavy! I feel like we found the perfect size. The seal on the lid is tricky. In order to get it water-tight, you have to carefully twist the handle in the center of the lid while you hold onto the outer lid with the other hand. If you don't do that, it will dribble. When you're ready to pour again, you have to unseal it in order to get the juice or lemonade to pour. And the instructions tell you that to wash the lid, you have to take it apart; there are four pieces. So that's a pain in the butt, and it's why I went with four stars instead of five.Now the plusses. I like the size, and I also like the shape. The blocky contours ensure that nobody can knock this thing over, and once you've spilled lemonade and dealt with the ensuing stickiness of anywhere you didn't clean up perfectly, this becomes important. After all, while you're passing it around, the lid won't be sealed, because you want to be able to pour. The shape is also space-efficient in the fridge. The pitcher is made of good, thick glass, sturdy and well designed. If it were heavier, my arthritic hands couldn't deal with it. As it stands, I can carry it with two hands, no problem.I think we'll be using this pitcher for years to come. If you're impatient or want your youngsters to be able to pour, it might not be your best bet, but in an adult household such as ours, it suits us just fine.

I've only had this pitcher a week, so I can't attest to long-term durability, but otherwise it's exactly what I needed for making and storing half-gallon batches of cold brew coffee, which is a strong coffee syrup made by immersing grounds in cold water for 12-24 hours. I was looking for a container to hold the coffee syrup (which is supposed to keep for two weeks in the refrigerator but in our house only lasts about four days) -- specifically, I wanted a lidded glass pitcher that is easy to pour from, easy to clean, and easy to fit in the refrigerator. This pitcher is great on all counts.It has a nice secure feel when pouring. There's no dribbling at the end, and it's easy to control the amount. The top opening is quite large, which makes cleaning easy and also makes it possible to get a muslin bag with 2-3 cups of coffee grounds in and out. The cubical shape stores efficiently in the fridge. I also like the way the lid works. It took me a minute to figure out, but it's quite simple and elegant once you get the hang of it: there's an outer ring you hold still while you tighten an inner ring by a quarter turn. A tubular gasket compresses against the glass, and you only need to close it finger-tight to get a tight seal. I get the feeling it would be a bad idea to crank the lid too hard, but there's no need to try. Opening is an easier motion as the outer ring moves with the inner: basically you hold the handle in the middle and unscrew it a quarter turn. I remove the lid for pouring, so basically the liquid never needs to come in contact with the lid.Before taking the lid apart to wash it, it's a good idea to make sure you see how the four pieces reassemble. It took me a couple of minutes to figure out. (The pieces are an outer ring, and inner ring, the gasket, and a piece that fits across the inner ring to make a handle for turning.) Again, things fit together nicely without requiring a lot of force.I bought this pitcher for a specific need, which it serves well. I believe it would also make a nice gift as it's nice-looking, too.

I am very pleased with this jug that I purchased to store my daily water in. It is solid and holds a lot of water but is not too tall and quite compact. It is a solid chunky jug so I’m not too afraid of chipping it. A very good buy, the nifty lid is also very handy.

Nicht ganz wie erwartet. Dachte den Deckel könnte man drehen zum eingiessen. Stattdessen muss man den abmachen um eingiessen zu können. sprich: der Deckel ist gut zum Schutz aber funktioniert nicht wie bei zb einer Kaffeekanne. Desweiteren ist der Griff einwenig dicht am Glas. Menschen mit großen Händen können den glaub ich nicht richtig packen. Letztentlich muss ich aber sagen das der Pitscher sehr robust ist und sich top eignet eine Schorle oder so zu machen und mit auf die Terrasse zu nehmen.

I strongly recommend this glass jug. It is very sturdy and I bought it after previous jugs broke easily. The lock mechanism is also very good and prevents leaking.One thing to consider is that, due to its thick glass, it can be quite heavy, especially when full. Additionally the handle, while sturdy, might be a bit small for those with thicker fingers and isn't very comfortable to hold.I have two of these and I use one for lemonade/iced tea and the other I use almost every day for water. I keep it sitting at my desk so transporting it back and forth isn't too much of an issue. It holds quite a bit so I don't often need to refill it. For lemonade/iced tea, it is the perfect size for anything from concentrate and also fits most of the recipes I use quite easily. It seems to be fairly good for temperature shock as well, although the product does not mention any specific shock rating so I would be cautious.Overall, I recommend this to anyone looking for a robust, utilitarian jug.
