I replaced the points and condenser on an 009 distributor in an old VW Beetle with this. It made an immediate difference.Note that I had to loosen the distributor to remove and mount the new condenser. I marked the original location with a marker before doing so. I then returned the distributor to that position and it started just fine, then I used a strobe light to dial it in.Replacing the points and condenser made a big difference in the idle of my engine, which was very rough prior.

The 009 Bosch distributor requires #02086 which has the clip on the mount to hold the grommet in , your check to fit guide says it doesn't fit.

I gave it five stars only because I don’t know what distributor my 72 had in it the wire from the condenser was too short but I was able to connect it underneath where the wire goes into distributor it does work well

I am extremely disappointed because the Bosch ignition condensers I purchased were bad from the get go. As I have done in the old days when ignition condensers were the norm, I tested each of these and found that both were grounded internally. So neither will work in the application. When the points open there should be no current going through the condenser. But both of these are grounded all the time, whethet the points are open or closed. I will have to see if I can find some used condensers at reduced cost since new ones don't appear to have the quality you might expect for the Bosch brand.
