I bought a reputable brand at my favorite hardware store and the thing promptly broke in my hand while tapping a stripped threaded hole on my Indian motorcycle. This Bosch got the job done and withstood the force needed to cut new threads, which accepted the bolt like new.

I bought this to use with a YG M5 tap. It worked fine. It was not easy to turn, so I used a crescent wrench.Came drenched in oil. I wiped the oil off. I was thankful it was accurate and inexpensive. Scary to do!

It is a pretty good t-handle, but it does have a minimal size issue. I tried to use it with a #8 threading bit, but it was very loose...

This tap handle has two sets of jaws. The largest set at the tip will turn a 1/4" or M6 tap, about a 3/16" square drive. The smaller jaws are inside behind the outer jaws and will drive a much smaller tap. I did not have a smaller tap to try today but they should work well. I suspect many other reviewers do not know how to use a tool like this. I cleaned the tap handle to remove the preservative oil with brake cleaner and applied a thin coating of anti-seize and light oil. The tap handle is well made. The hex surface provides more grip than knurled surfaces. The tap handle can also be tightened with a wrench if necessary, a nice feature. The T-handle is retained by a ball and spring. It can be extended either way for use in small spaces. The tap handle is made to Bosch tool specifications in Asia.

Works as designed. I bought this specifically to use with a #6-48 tap. As others have said there are two size squares to hold the tap. The smaller one is further down inside. The tool worked just fine for my purpose and the price is great.

Use 10w30 as cutter oil, go slow purchased this t handle made by iriwin. Grips good. Snugged it with a wrench slightly before beginning. Excellent quality tool. Would buy it again if needed.

You need this tool for the Bosch easy out tool set. But this tool is pretty small. Works great with smaller bits but you need a larger handle wrench for the larger bits. The picture is deceiving

Changing spark plugs, I ran into a cross-threaded ignition coil bolt that snapped flush when reinstalling. I used this tap handle with a Ryobi #1 screw extractor ('EZ out') and it worked beautifully. I did notice some other comments that this had trouble holding smaller bits. The flats on this extractor measure 3.30mm, and were a bit rounded because my adjustable wrench just couldn't hold tight enough. I dropped the extractor into this T-handle as far as it would go, tightened with a wrench and it held firm. This tap handle is solid enough to tap on it with a hammer to seat the extractor into the small hole I drilled. I went very slowly to hopefully avoid breaking the extractor... and about 5 min later, the broken bolt was out!

Supposed to be for #0-1/4", just barely holds my #6 taps but it works
