Was a pretty easy install and worked perfectly to restore power to the old Jetta. The Jetta was experiencing power problems and would struggle up a limited incline. The code indicated a crankshaft positioning problem and this item was recommended. I installed in an afternoon and it worked perfectly. Jetta is now back to it's old self and running well with lots of power, just like original.PS Setting the timing is important when installing this item. Make sure you read up on, and understand Top Dead Center (TDC) location marks on the crankshaft gear (seen from underneath engine) and the timing camshaft gear, as seen from the top of engine when cover plate is removed. These two gears, crankshaft and camshaft, are synched up with the timing belt and the belt tensioner keeps them lined up! I highlighted the marks on the cogs with white fingernail polish so they were obvious to see. TDC is achieved when the timing marks on the crankshaft and the camshaft are aligned with the marks on the engine near them, as well as the TDC alignment mark observed through the hole located from the top right side of engine where the engine meets the transmission. Find this observation hole first by reading up on this. There are marks that appear and are observed through this hole when engine is at TDC. The marks on the crankshaft gear as well as the camshaft gear then should align as well. Good luck and there are plenty of videos online to help you out.

Replacing my old mud wasp encrusted sensor with this one resurrected my poorly running 2001 VW New Beetle with the 2.0 engine. It’s an exact match. I had a P0341 code before and after resetting the code, no more check engine light or codes. Life is good!

I was changing the cam seal on my wife's VW Golf. I pulled the cam sensor off and I could tell that this 13 year old part was finished. Some of it is plastic and the heat had warped it a small part of it pulled away from the metal plate it was attached to. I ordered a new one and it was, of course, perfect...and it worked. I felt very confident with it being oem, as it has to be installed to see if it really works.

Mir wurde ein gebrauchtes Teil geliefert, die Orginalbox von Bosch wurde mit Amazon Klebeband neu verklebt. Man sieht deutlich Oelige Fingerabdruecke.
