This worked really well for taking up old tile. It even helped remove some adhesive that was there from a previous vinyl floor that had been on for years. I still had to scrape up some remaining adhesive to prep the concrete floor for new tile but this helped make my life much easier by getting about 50% of it up. This is a well made shank that stayed sharp after using it for several hours.

Worked well (homeowner) for removing both tile and glued laminate flooring from concrete slab (~ 500 sf), used horizontally to lift up tile from underneath. Also good for removing residual grout & glue globs to smooth slab prior to re-flooring.Worked much better and cheaper with MUCH less dust than a jackhammer, that a bubba contractor used to remove the same tile at (another location on the same slab.

Very useful tool. Electrician by trade. I use this tool a lot, from punching out holes in boxes to actually demoing concrete.

I had a smallish, Mexican paver floor to remove over an old slab. First of all, this was my first tearout using my new Bosch combination rotary drill/demo hammer tool (so nice to escape the world of small sledge and chisel). Instead of having to break out each tile, nibble by nibble, they notonly came away from the slab in nice chunk-size pieces, but did so relatively dust free. The most amazing aspect was the slab, with only a few more passes, was clean enough to have reset new tile on. Normally, this is no mean feat. The chisel's "business end" showed no appreciable wearand the 21/2 inch edge allows the force of the tool to be very effectively distributed for tile removal. I highly recommend this tool for anytearout kit.

Solid and quality steel. Yet to use but I did install in a bosch hammer drill. I could not install bit at the head angle I desired. The shaft locking mechanism allows only one angle. This will make chisel work cumbersome. If allowed, I will edit this review once I actually hammer-chisel the concrete and mortar and bricks as originally intended.Update#1: changed stars from 3 to 4, after 5 minutes of hammer chisel use. I was able to change the angle of the chisel head using the Vatio-Lock on the drill. It allowed the head to be placed at any angle. I then moved the adjustment dial to "hammer only" to lock the chisel in the desired location.

Bit worked great while removing approximately 700 sq ft of tile and hardibacker. Used as a lever at times with no issues. The bevel is sharp enough to remove the nails holding the backer down as well. No issues other than the work itself. :)

Have the smaller one i've used to bust up tile and chisel thinset with on many rooms. Got this for large bed and bathroom and it's so much easier with a slightly wider chipper (on a bosch bulldog). chip out your tile, couple perpendicular passes with the bosch, then plane ol floor scraper steel blade to get what little is left. Made quick work of it.

I do foundation repair and need a good hammer drill chisel, the Bosch holds up nicely. They do wear out but not before I feel I've gotten my moneys worth. I buy them again and again.

Worked great. Spent an afternoon scraping old carpet glue off a concrete floor. Went down to the concrete easily.Still in very good condition with minimal wear. If I ever wear it out, I'll buy another one.

no sirve para romper piedra, se pone la punta roja (se calienta y llano perfora)

The chisel has worked great for breaking up concrete steps and a couple of walkway poured concrete sections too big to remove without doing so. I've used its conveniently shaped tip to speed along some brick-pointing jobs as well to good effect, still looks like new. It fits in an SDS-plus tool, in this case the Bosch Bulldog Extreme. That's designed as a mid-range rotary hammer, so keep in mind the kind of projects you should expect to use this chisel on.
