Installation instructions were very easy to follow. I already had an easily accessible hole in my firewall, so cable routing was simple. It is best that you have a wiring diagram of your vehicle on hand, as these instructions direct you to attach certain tachometer wires to other wires which a) are powered only when the key is in the 'run' position, and b) are only on when your dash lights come on. The latter is only necessary if you want the tachometer light to work.I compared the accuracy of this to the method I was using before, which was to use a reflective strip on the crankshaft pully illuminated with a light which also senses the reflection. As this tach takes the signal directly from the coil (you have to select the number of cyliders with a switch on the back of the tach), I assum this is more accurate. However, they both gave the same answer, if anyone is interested to know.

After trying two different brilliantly lit LED tach's, having their measurements jump and inaccurate, I tried this name brand moderately priced tach. It was simple to install, with steady, accurate measurements from the start. If you want a working tachometer, and can do without the colorful displays, this is what you want.

Works awesome, seems accurate to the ear. Isn’t laggy at all. Very easy to install and comes with great instructions and hardware. My only complaints about are that I wish the mount was shorter, is a bit tall for the size of the gauge itself and made placing it difficult in my ‘89 S10 (opted for the pillar), light could be a little brighter for night driving, gauge is fogging up but I’m not blaming it due to it being right by the window and also a vent but figured I’d mention it. Overall I would buy it again.

I installed this on my VW Camper Van and it was a great install. The face is small enough that it could fit between the A pillar and the dash cluster. It wired nicely and was very self explanatory. Just remember to thread the nut onto the wire loom FIRST before making all the connections. *DOH* I had to do it twice because of this little set back, however that was OK.I like that it sets to "0" when the engine is off. My other tach does not do that so this is refreshing. The unit feels fit and well built. The back light is decent and works well to light the face. The red line is easy to set and effective as a marker for your limit.Overall, this was a good purchase. I look forward to purchasing another one.

I bought this just to be able to adjust my trucks idle and high idle speeds, install was easy and didn't even take an hour. It reads well and works great. The light on it is a little dimmer than I'd personally like, and I wish the lines marking every 100 RPM's were more separated, it's hard to read by a quick glance when driving. But, it sure served it's purpose, and I still use it after 3 ish months. Still works perfectly as it should.

Lo instalé en sustitución de un sunpro mini tach II. En mi opinión es el mismo tacómetro y funciona perfecto mismo montaje, mismo cableado. Sólo en mi opinión el sunpro me parece mas bonito el dial pero no se nota la diferencia.

I am using this in my Willys Jeep with a tuned Volvo engine. It works great and is easy to install. You may need some extra 18 gauge wire and connectors.
