These nail clippers are a game-changer! The safety guard makes trimming so much easier and worry-free. Perfect for my large dog, and the included nail file is a nice bonus. Sturdy and easy to use—great for at-home grooming!

These are the “BEST” toe nail clippers I’ve ever purchased. I volunteer with a dog rescue and foster a lot of dogs. Most of them need their nails trimmed, so nail clippers are a must have! They feel comfortable in my hand and are easy to grip. They do an excellent job cutting the dogs nails. The blades are sharp, and they cut “large” nails easily. I like the safety guard and the little nail file that inserts into the handle. These are excellent clippers and rate them five star as they are easy to use, and get the job done!

I have since moved on to using a Dremel, but when getting into grooming my own dogs nails these were the Last pair of clippers that I bought and that I still have.Went through quite a few different clippers and most would CRUSH the nail not clip, causing my dog to shoot his leg out or start squirming. With these i was able to get clean cuts close enough to start filing down with out getting the quick. The idea of the guard is nice and useful at the very first time or if the animals nails haven't been trimmed in a long time. Otherwise it kind of occludes the view of where the quick is. And having the guard only on one means you HAVE to use with a specific hand or hold you arm or the animals limb in a way to see.But they are sharp, they do work, and if the animal doesn't like a motorized noise, they might be right for you.

Team work makes the dream work! Smooth as butter! These velociraptors disguised as dogs did not fight me once! Do know since they were 8 weeks I've cut their nails every 2 weeks. So they are used to it. I used to have the furminator nail clippers for years. These surpass those 100 to none! The file is a nice touch but my electric one is much faster. Love that it was smooth and an easy process for all 3 of us!

In my quest to make life more comfortable for my dog Orielle I decided it was high time that I learned how to trim her nails. Orielle HATES riding in the car and she usually pukes. Her nails grow quickly and they need to be trimmed every three weeks. I was always afraid to attempt this myself … fearing that I would cut into the quick and hurt her. I was more than willing to pay the $14 to have the vet do it … but then there was that 30 minute car ride to Fox Chapel. So I put on my brave girl pants and started my research. I watched maybe 50 You Tube videos on how to do it. Then I went shopping at amazon.com and found a pair of dog nail clippers that looked like ones I could handle. I got the Boshel Clippers (with nail file). They were $40 but I got them on sale for $13. A good buy. I chose these because they have a safety stop that reduces the risk of injury to my baby.It took me a few days after they arrived to get the nerve to attempt to use them. I was going to follow one You Tubers advice - this woman said she did just one nail each day. I thought I could handle that. I sat down in the yard and crossed my legs … putting Orielle in the middle. I put her favorite song on the iPad - “So Wake Me Up When It’s All Over” (how appropriate is that?). Many experts advise using treats to keep the dog still. Ori’s fav is popcorn with cinnamon/sugar on it. I kept a bowl of that close by. Turns out I didn’t need it. She sat still and I did all 16 in less than a minute - snip, snip, snip, snip. These clippers are very sturdy and sharp. No dogs (or people) were injured.

These clippers work great on my pup. They are very sharp and cut through even tough thicker nails easily. My biggest fear with cutting my dogs nails is to cut them to short into the wuick and hurt him. Not only do I not want him to feel any pain (obviously) but also I know if I accident hurt him he's going to be difficult about letting me do it the next time, and I can't just let them keep growing indefinitely. The safety stop really helps me gauge how far to go, especially on his back feet where he is more likely to be pulling away. I also like that they don't slip up the nail accidently. The grips are comfortable and I'm able to hold them securely for a sure clip. They are easy to clean and being stainless steel, I don't have to worry about rusting. They have also included a file to help you file the freshly cut nails for a smooth edge. I think it was ingenious to have the file fit in a tiny slit in the handle for easy storage. Something so simple but you never see it lol.The clippers are thick with a sturdy weight to them. They are durable and cut smoothly. I'm seriously pleased with how well these work and the price is more than fitting with the quality. I've had cheaper nail trimmers that were much flimsier and it made them harder to use. These are a solid set. Stop getting scratched up and save your furniture and trim those nails.I did receive my dog clippers free or at a promotional price for testing and evaluation purposes. My review is solely based on my personal experience and honest opinions with this product.

I used to always cut our dogs nails until that one time I drew blood, then I paid people to do it. Fast forward 3 dogs, our year old Swiss Mountain/Bernese cross is large and strong. We are running out of options so I decided to get back into dog nail cutting. We found these clippers on the internet and gave them a try. These are so much better than our old clippers. They appear to be well constructed and comfortable to use. The only downside is the nail file will not stay in the handle but then I was not planning on doing much filing. The best feature is the guard that limits how much nail you can clip at a time. No more cutting too far up the nail in the quick territory. Not to say our dog likes the process, as it is one person cutting, one person feeding treats and both of us wrestling. What is different is my worry that I will accidentally draw blood is gone. Not to say it won't happen in the future, but the odds of it happening are way lower (plus I have the magic powder near by to stop the bleeding)
