I drive a truck for living and have tried many other options, dorm fridges , plug in coolers, even built in truck refrigerators, but this is the best I have used by far. It’s a low energy user and high quality fridge. When I fill it with food for the week I never have to worry about it running my battery down or not keeping my food at the exact temperature I set it on. It’s easy to move and is extremely compact and yet provides plenty of room for all of my meals and drinks for the week. The trucking industry needs this product to be front and center for the drivers that need a high quality fridge to keep there food cool , especially for those with limited space. I have had this product for about 4 months now, it’s worth every penny

Very good camping fridge. I like the cooling aggregate which is variable speed. When needing less cooling (close to target temperature) it draws less power. It is not loud or unpleasant, just a whirling hum. We had it inside the tent. The temperature sensor is on the bottom of the fridge (while cooling loops are on the side). I measured a 3.2F higher temp inside of the fridge over the set point (averaged over many hours). But that does not seem to matter, it works well in real world. Put the food/drinks back in after meal (and they have warmed up) and temperature displayed jumps up, and fridge cools down. Exactly as it should be.I always use the MAX mode to use the cooling capabilities. The ECO mode marginally reduces power consumption. Under ideal conditions (never open the fridge), @ 74F ambient (indoors no direct sunlight) with a -8F target temp it consumes 23.1Wh per hour in MAX and 20.5Wh in ECO. ECO has a higher duty cycle (on for 60% of the time vs. 50% in MAX), and the cooling aggregate apparently is more efficient at lower speeds. Improving insulation (i.e. putting a blanket over the fridge except for the vents) had a bigger effect only needing 19.5Wh per hour. Power consumption is much higher in the real world (open/close, putting food/drinks back in that are no longer as cold). I did not measure (busy camping), but I would guess 250Wh in a 24h period using it as a fridge (34F set point -- which is a bit too cold). In real-world, very good fridge! We enjoy having a real fridge and not needing to mess with ice. Friends are surprised about nice and cold beverages right on the campground. You could even have your own ice cream (using it as a freezer).Albeit, it still gets wet inside the fridge due to condensation -- we don't dry things off when putting it back. In hot and humid weather, lots of condensate forms when you take something nice and cool out of the fridge.

This is such a great cooler however I can’t find it on Amazon anymore. It seems to be available on bougerv website but not here. This version is different from the others as there is more things to keep your food safer because it has a different type of insulation that’s why this is a VIP version. I hope that you’ll enjoy it as much as I because it is so solid and works so wonderful. I used it in the trunk of my car because I have a Tesla however they recently made it so it can’t stay plugged in when nobody is in the car. Hopefully they will reverse this in a software update because it’s horrible the way it is And it’s not usable if you’re out of the car.

Original 6/12/24 - I was looking at the standard CRPRO 30qt fridge, but decided to buy this one after stumbling upon it. Why? Because it claims to be more energy efficient through better insulation. I won’t have the standard variant to compare it to and I did just receive it a couple days ago, so bear that in mind when reading this review.Admittedly the size is a bit smaller than I thought, since I’ve been using a large cooler for so long, but it’s still adequate for what I need it for. Now it did ship in a larger box that positioned the cooler on its side for transport and a sticker on the fridge said to leave it upright for 12 hours before use, I left it for closer to 24.I installed it last night after building a leveling platform for it in my car and it said that it was 95 degrees inside when I powered it on, after sitting in my storage unit all day. I also bought the insulated safe case for this, which has some issues but that will be a different review, basically it’s just a bit too small. After running for nearly eight hours the temp reached 44 degrees and that’s with it filled with water bottles and a small pumpkin pie. Not too bad, I’d say, given that it’s only running on DC power.Today I’ll find out how efficient or inefficient it will be for me and I may even ditch the insulated soft case. I’m really hoping the 300 watts of solar panels can keep up with this fridge and the fan I’m using to disperse the heat that the compressor is generating, which definitely made the car feel hotter than usual last night.I will be updating this review in the near future, especially since there was only one review when I made my purchase.
