You can't get this item for false advertisement as it is literally a thumb saver. I've always had issues with ulnar inflammation while I bowl so I figured I'd give this product a chance and I am so glad I did. I've been bowling weekly with this and so far it has held up to the use. Time will tell if it holds up but overall I am happy with the product!

I five stared this because its a game changer for me. I'm not young and been bowling for 16 years. My thumb will swell. In 2013 in a humid bowling center my thumb stuck and tore my bicep. I have had my thumb holes enlarged to stop that but been using ball tape too much. First time getting any thumb sock and this is the first. I'm not squeezing the ball on back swing. It's a start and it's a game changer. I am not using this for protection.

I cant use it its too thick my thumb won't even fit in my ball with this on

I had my thumb amputated and i needed something on it to cover the new skin growing and this works ok. it fits pretty good except for the elastic on the wrist is a little tight. I have the velcro as short as it will go and it still is tight. the other thing i didn't like was the plastic gripper they sew into the end, it is really uncomfortable. Maybe its just because i have new skin growing. the seam was rediculously long on the inside. it rubbed on my thumb. i turned it inside out and cut it down as much as i could but they could have done better on its design. but all in all I like it and it helps protect my thumb from the air which hurts the new skin growing. i imagine if you were just using this for bowling it would work fine. its tight and stays on securely which would be good for bowling.

I would urge you to listen to most of the reviews - I didn't and I wish I had. This device is not usable for me. The seams are insanely large making it impossible to use in the ball unless you redrill the thumb hole and it is not tight fighting. Even than I think it would be uncomfortabe. Overall it is poorly made - small and very lightweight. Doubt if it would last any resaonable time if it was usable! Great idea but poorly constructed - would advise that you look elsewhere.

I tried this item and the ball slipped out of my hands due to the inability to grip the ball because the material id too slippery.

The only issue I have is that the previous thumb saver I had was made by a different company and is no longer made and when I bought this one, I needed to adjust my thumb hole because it was a different thickness
