Likes: 1) it's the PERFECT SIZE for making "custom" slide soles for Dexter "SST-series" (and similar) bowling shoes. 2) the material is EASY TO CUT - just make sure you have "fabric-grade" scissors that are NICE AND SHARP! 3) the "Loop" (black "fuzzy") side adhere's well to the Dexter shoe's "Velcro hooks" (almost "too well"? ;) ) 4) the THICKNESS of the pad is PERFECT for the slide shoeDislikes: 1) after cutting out the sole, there is a bit of "waste material". However, I'd rather have "waste room" than have to "jockey, etc." the "template" sole to ensure I don't "come up short, etc." when cutting. 2) the price Could Be Cheaper. However, today's Economic Realities (i.e., "Supply Chain Issues", inflation caused by the current President/Vice President) mitigate the Asking Price.Other than that, this product is WORTH RECOMMENDING for those Bowlers looking for Alternatives to "name brand" soles for their Bowling shoes.

I purchased for my wife as a spare slide for her Dexter Shoe. She has normally worn a S8 pad, which this was supposed to be based on the description. I cut it to shape for her, but when she tried it, there was no slide to this pad. I then put it on my shoe to see if it was her, or the pad. It was definitely the pad. Would not slide at all. Don't know if the one we got was defective, or if that is the way they are, but since I already cut it, I didn't feel I could return it. It's worth paying the extra for the name brand. At least you know what you're getting.

A little sticky at first. Took some breaking in with a wire brush but works well now.

It is thinner than the original Dexter SST #8 pad. It also comes as a rectangle piece that you need to cut to fit your shoe sole. Why isn’t this mentioned or shown? I usually don’t have to trim (except here) because I am a men’s 13. Will it hold up? Too early to tell. Was it worth 50% $$ of an original? Too early to tell.

Trimmed up well and velcro is strong. My problem with this pad is the #8 has no slide. It just sticks to the approach.
