Has everything you want in a litter. Almost zero dust, minimal tracking, great odor control, awesome clumping. My home never smells like a cat box, and my place is tiny! I could never switch.

I’ve had cats all my teen & adult life. Not sure how long this product has been around, but I definitely wish I found it sooner! It really does what it says!I’ve used countless different litter, from clay, to crystals, to the ones with the scents to cover up smell. They all have been horrible. I’ve used some big brand names as well & even super expensive litters. It’s all the same crap! Pee that piles at the bottom of the litter box, clumps that fall apart, nasty smell, etc.once I switched to this, everything changed. The pee doesn’t soak at the bottom. It clumps on top & doesn’t fall apart. It’s amazing! It covers smell really well. Of course no litter can cover smell 100% but I will say I haven’t complained at all of smell since switching to this. My cats took to it right away. I like that it’s safe for my cats and has probiotic in it. Doesn’t make a huge mess & makes cleaning a breeze. When I first read reviews I didn’t think it would be good, I thought people were lying. But holy crap, I definitely recommend this litter to everyone. I have 2 cats and 2 litter boxes, so I buy the big bag. I love it and will be a customer for life. This review is my own personal opinion. I’m just a cat mama who needed some good litter lol but this, I promise you won’t regret it

I have tried so many different cat litters and this one is really awesome at a great price! I have a cat that is in renal failure and her prescription food makes her have to “go†a lot and this litter definitely keeps up with that. Odor control is great and I’m not scraping the bottom to clean.

I’ve been sifting through litter boxes all of my life. If they gave out degrees, I’d be summa cum laude.I had a rancid urine odor coming from my litter robots. No matter how much I cleaned the odor was still there. I read reviews on Boxiecat and thought I’d give it a shot. So glad I did. My litter room has no odor. This litter coats the clumps (think panko). And somehow eliminates the odor. This litter is magic!

Boxiecat Premium Clumping Clay Cat Litter, Extra Strength Formula, is the best cat litter I've found. It's expensive but I get a month per litter box (I have 2 cats, 2 litter boxes). It's great for clumping and easy to scoop out every night and just replace a little bit of litter back into the litter box. As long as you have enough cat litter in the litter box, the boxie cat litter doesn't stick to the sides or bottom (and if you're low on litter and it does stick, it's easy enough to scrape out and get it to form clumps with the clean litter). After a month, I empty the box, wipe it out and replace with new litter. With other cat litters, I've had to drag the box outside and wash it down with a hose. I still do that in warm weather for extra cleanness but in the winter, the litter box is pretty easy to clean with just a wipe down with an eco-friendly chemical free cleaner after you've emptied it completely. I've had my cats for 2 years and occasionally switched to a lower priced litter which I found did not work as well as the boxie cat litters do. I would buy again, do buy again and highly recommend this product. I can't ever seem to get it delivered from Petco, but it's always in stock at Amazon! I like amazon delivery for this product because it's heavy and I don't have to carry it from the store to the car and into my house. It just ends up on my doorstep from Amazon!

(note: I am comparing it to fresh step and tidy cat which is what I have previously used. I am also using a top entry box, rather than one that has an opening on the side, if that effects anything)Pros- Better at absorbing liquid waste and the clumps do not break apart easily making it a bit easier to scoop.- Does not stuck to the cats paws as much compared to other brands. Of course he still tracks some litter around but I don't believe there is any clay based product out there that eliminate the problem.Odor control and litter fragrance:The kind that I bought doesn't really have any particular fragrance to it, which doesn't really matter to me, all I ask of the litter I buy is that the area around the box doesn't stink. I can't speak for how it performs without a cover on top of the box, but the area around the box doesn't smell bad even if it's been two or more days. When you are getting up in there and cleaning up...well...it's still gonna stink just a bit up close. I can tell it does not stink as badly and it is absorbing the worse of it (assuming the cat does a competent job buring its poo), but there's not any strong fragrance to mask what you do smell.Cons:- The packaging. My god. The packaging is incredibly flimsy. If you are lucky enough to not have any leaks to begin with, I guarantee you will by the second time you top off the box. It's designed to just barely withstand the burden it has to carry and any amount of stress can cause a leak. Have duct tape handy. To open it you tear the corner at the top of the bag, which the packaging specifies you are supposed to fold and reseal using the sticker on the packaging. The sticker doesn't do a great job of this and will most likely stop sticking when you use it the second time. But that's the least of your problems. After the first use it becomes nearly impossible to move the package or pour into the box without it spilling. It gets everywhere. I have to vacuum almost every time. The opening gets wider from the stress of moving the package to the box and then carrying it back. It gets to the point you have to store the package inside of a trashbag so it doesn't spill all over the floor. It's really that bad, holy crap.Just put it in a tub, or a sturdy box, please I beg. I should not have to buy another product to store yours because you couldn't be bothered to come up with something better. Maybe you are trying to be eco friendly, but having packaging that is functional is not optional for messy stuff.Verdict:- Other than the packaging fiasco, while it cost a little more, you are getting the overall better quality that you pay for. So if you aren't content with what you are using, and you don't mind spending a bit more on litter, you might like it. But if what you are using works fine for you and your cat, then there isn't really any reason to pay the extra money. It kind of depends on your priorities.- If you already keep your litter in a storage container of some sort, then it will be mostly a non issue, but if you don't I would advise you to come up with a place to keep it or otherwise learn the hard way. The only reason I put up with it is that I don't want to go back to what I used before, because it is decent stuff.

We used to use Purina's tidy cats lightweight litter until the odour started seeping through the walls. Ultimately, we changed the litter box and moved it next to the washroom on the main floor. Odour got worse, even with regular deep cleaning of the litter box. Cleaning it would trigger coughing fits for me (I have allergic asthma) and I always had to hold my breath when using the washroom or cleaning his litter. Even adding more litter to the box would make me gag because of how dusty it was.Bought this litter, and deep cleaned the entire box before trying it. Absolute magic. It's beyond my expectations. No more coughing fits, I can actually breathe while cleaning the litter box.I thought that it was basically impossible to avoid tracking, and litter sticking to my cat's paws. This litter not only eliminates every ounce of odour, but it also does not stick to my baby's paws and leaves no tracking.Very good price considering that it eliminates odours, tracking and is low dust. My new holy grail.

Best cat litter ever, I’m hooked on it and can never use anything else again.(I was a little annoyed one time it arrived a bit open but it didn’t feel like much got spilled.)

We've bought this brand several times now. Clumps well, minimal dust, tracks a bit but not too bad.

I used to purchase cat litter purchased from the supermarket. It was a clumping litter, but the main complaint was the dust and smell. Whenever cleaning the litter I had a cloud of dust and it was very annoying. Furthermore, the litter was scented and its smell combined with the faeces of the cats was producing a very intense and bad smell.Boxicat, from the other hand, was perfect. The litter does not produce any dust and covers the smells. Highly recommended.

This product works, no smells! I used to use tofu litter and thought that that did a pretty decent job with the smell. But the litter itself had a smell to it which bothered me. I tried the premium boxie litter but I like this one more. I have only one cat and since this is for multicat, might be the reason the smells are reduced much more. This litter is more cost effective and it doesn't leave odours lingering. The tracking is still there but not as bad as other clay litters I've used before, I also use a tray. The dust is there when you pour it into the box but settles very quickly and is low. The first day my cat used this litter, she sneezed. But it didn't last.I suggest trying to use a sandbox shovel, the litter is very fine and if pieces break, regular litter shovels won't work well.I will stick to this litter going forward!
