Like for many, all my black plastic kitchen tools went in the trash. I bought two types of wooden tongs and these were the superior choice. After 2 months, no sign of chipping or cracking, and we put them in the 3rd rack of a dishwasher to clean. It's worth purchasing as an addition to a set bought separately. The types of tongs that come in the wooden or bamboo sets are more like oversized tweezers. This piece is by far a better replacement for what you're used to with spring action and a locking mechanism.

Bought for my bf for his bday, he’s the cook in the relationship and he loved it! Wood detailing beautiful and tool is good quality.

Chipped and dry. I suspect that these had been returned. Even still, they would have chipped for any purchaser. Poor product.

I am quite fond of these, and happy with the purchase, appear to be good quality, the wood will need occasional oiling or waxing to keep it from eventually wearing out though. but i would recommend.

We wanted some wooden tongues to replace some silicone ones (which seem to leave their taste behind). They’re well-made, very nice and work well
