The Snowtac Nylon Fabric is both waterproof and breathable to ensure that your child stays warm and dry. This pant has Feather Touch Insulation. The pants are NOT 100% waterproof as the seams are not sealed. These pants have: *Snowtac Nylon *Feather Touch Insulation *Shell, Insulation and Lining are 100% Polyester *A metal clip and zipper waist closure *Full Elastic stretch waist *Straight cuffs *Leg openings have a inner snow gator which is an elastic nylon layer that can be tucked into boots to keep out snow and cold air *Two 5" front zipper closure pockets *Articulated Knees *Right Back Pocket has 5" zip closure with fabric cover over zipper. I ordered these for my 12 yr old son who is 5' about 90#. I bought the 14-16 and they fit him perfectly. He used them for snowboarding in Montana in 15 degree weather. He loved them and said they kept him dry. They seem to be a bit thin but he wore a base layer underneath and didn't complain of being cold.
