I like this rash guard hoodie. The material is soft and light and the fit is great. I'm not sure what I will use it for primarily, but so far I've used it for: sailing and post-workout. After trying this one, I bought two more in different colors. Prior to this shirt, I only had crew neck rash guards, but now I'm obsessed with this hoodie! By the way, I'm not a 10-12 year-old boy, I'm an adult petite female, 111 lbs, size M in women's clothing. The fit of this hoodie is amazing.

My son loves wearing these shirts... he picks them first to wear every time they're clean! I've ended up buying him 5 different colors of them. He's wearing them daily to school for play and they've washed and worn well so far. Of note, they have arrived with a pretty strong chemical smell. I put them in the wash with ammonia a few times and they've been great. For the price point, quality with many wearings, and comfort and enjoyment my son has had with them, this hasn't been a major issue for me.

First time buying UV protection shirt for my toddler. We went to kayak on a lake and we didn't want to reapply sunscreen on him too often, bought this and it was a life changer! The protection was noticeable as part of his uncovered area even with sunscreen was darker than the area covered with this shirt. Material is so very light and breathable, toddler did not complain about being too hot (it was around 100F!)

If you are thinking of this as a warm hoodie no its not. This is purely a rash guard (swim)hoodie. Looking at it, it is overall nice, but the material is not what I expected, it doesn't have that soft feel but it does its job well. The fit is great so just order your normal size (recommended). The good part is it is breathable my son loves wearing it during outdoor activities, as it helps keep him cool while protecting him from sun at the same time.Overall this is a nice buy at the given price.
Have them as stocking stuffer and girls loved them

Wish I had paid attention to the pics closer, but this hood isn’t long enough. It lifts the whole shirt off their shoulders when you try to put it on which you can even see in the pics. The material is soft and lightweight, but the fit is strange and I wish we hadn’t bought it
