we had purchased a hurricane lamp, but when we got it home, somehow the cord end bumped the chimney and it exploded! so we were on a hunt for a 16" chimney, we weren't able to find a 16" but the 14" worked well

I ordered this to replace one that I broke while cleaning it, from an antique lamp of my wife’s, it was actually the centerpiece on the head table at our wedding, so it was a big deal. This listing was the same shape and measurements as the original, so I gave it a try and it was a perfect 1:1 replacement! It’s actually slightly thicker glass so it should be a lot less fragile for future cleanings!

Fits my Eagle No. 3 burner perfectly. These large flat-wick burners can run really hot and will shatter some lesser chimneys. This one has been going strong for a week now with nary an issue. I run several chimneys from this brand on my central draft and Kosmos lamps, and will continue to buy more as needed.

It was perfectly packaged and arrived w/o breakage. For actual use in a kerosene lantern, i would buy heavier glass. For display, it's perfect.

Approximately 40 years ago my husband gave me a beautiful globe lamp for Christmas. Imagine my dismay when I moved it recently (foolishly forgetting to take the chimney out first) and broke the original chimney. This one is almost identical and I have no doubt will last me for several years. It arrived in perfect condition and fits the lamp just as the original one did.
