Great gloves for the cook who's always burning herself!! I love cooking, baking and anything else in the kitchen. I am very hard on my oven mitts and have went through so many over the years I've lost track. Usually I end up with a small tear in the glove and don't realize it until I pull something out of the oven and get burned. I've also had issues with short oven mitts that don't go far enough up my arm and have burnt my upper wrist pulling larger things from the oven.About 2 months ago I found these, read the reviews and thought the price seemed great so I got myself a pair. Wow! These are amazing! But, I have to admit I was skeptical at first. They are so lightweight I wasn't sure if these would hold up to my kitchen abuse.I waited to write a review until I knew for sure how well they would hold up.They are about 6 ounces each, so very lightweight. They have a nice quilted interior that feels really nice to slip your hand into, instead of the feeling of silicone on your skin. I really appreciate that. They bend and flex easily which makes grabbing things from pots and pans to casserole pans really easy. But even with the light and thin material, you don't get burned! That's where I was skeptical. I was so worried something this thin wouldnt protect me, but boy was I wrong! These work great!The length is perfect too and keeps my wrist and arm safe as I grab things from the oven. They also are great for my heavy cast iron pans. Cast iron can be really heavy and take 2 hands sometimes. These are great for that.My husband has been known to steal things from my kitchen and sneak these out to his grill too. He said they work really for grilling too. So, they definitely fit larger hands that are doing a lot of grilling at one time. I think I know what I'm getting him for his Birthday!All the pictures I took are today, after 2 months of use. They still look like brand new! I really like these gloves and I'm so happy to keep from getting burned anymore. I would highly recommend these and will be ordering another set for our camper and my husband!EDITED TO ADD ADDITIONAL REVIEW AFTER THREE AND HALF YEARS!I wanted to review these after using them for almost daily use after more than 3 years.They are still my favorite oven mitt! The only things that have changed are that the black material around the cuff is now faded and starting to get a little thinner than when it was new, and the liner has also gotten a little thinner after being washed regularly over the past 3 years. It might time for a new set soon. Especially when working with heavy pans from my oven so that I can keep my hand protected from very high heats in the oven, but these are perfect for my everyday cooking with cast iron pans on the stove top. I still have no issues at all!At 20 bucks, and almost 4 years of daily use, these are a great find! I love them and will be getting another set soon!

I bought these to replace a set I'd used for handling a cast iron pan. My husband cooks with high heat in the broiler and I roast a lot of meats & vegetables at 400 plus degrees on a daily basis. We cook all of our meals, we hardly eat out! We needed something that would last for at least a while handling the daily usage. At first glance after pulling it out of the package, I thought no way this thing is going to work because of its light-weight and thinness of the material. Surprisingly, I love it because of those exact things I judge it based on first looks. I also appreciate that it is long because I can't tell you how many times I've burnt my forearms. My hands don't feel cramped while wearing them either. The price is fantastic for not just one but two in the package! I feel like I scored on this one. It's easy to keep clean too. I use soap and water then pat it with another towel. So how does it handle the heat? Extremely well. I don't even feel the heat inside the glove when I grabbed for my tray that has been in the oven at 425 degrees for an hour. My husband loves it too and says that it's wonderful to feel confident that he won't feel the heat when he grabs for the cast iron pan.

These are the best silicone oven mitts I've come across, because they're much more flexible than most. I flip my Thanksgiving turkey (from front to side to side to back, etc. for even cooking) and, even with tons of bunched paper towells, this was an extremely messy job with cloth oven mitts! I was always paranoid about protecting countertops from contamination, and hated the germy laundry that was produced. These gloves, by contrast can immediately be cleaned with hot, soapy water anytime they become germy or soiled. And, the nice extra long length really protects your arms.

I am so klutzy that I can get burned walking by a hot oven. I LOVE THESE MITTS! They are long enough so that if I'm reaching all the way into the back of the oven my arm won't touch the oven shelf. The difference is day and night for me. Others have said that these mitts make things hard to hold but I have not found that to be the case in removing glass pie pans or metal cake pans or baking pans. I would buy these again. I caught a lower price with joinhoney dot com. I am definitely considering these for gifts for friends who bake a lot.

Due to insufficient oven space, while I was baking two super healthy pizzas, one of the pans got accidentally pushed behind the oven and about to fall. Good that I was wearing these oven mitts so I was confident that it would protect my forearms from high heat and did not hesitate to put my whole forearms to reach and pull it. It’s my first time ever to use these extra long gloves and it saved both my arms and pizza right away, thanks to God.While the other oven mitts which I have been using (see photo). As you can see could not withstand high heat without burning but was useful for holding hot pots and plates for a nearby transfer. They are about the same size widthwise. So the advantage of the cotton one (which I bought from a cooking class/store in Manhattan)—is that it’s easy to hold anything with it and has a “sentimental value” since it was from my first official cooking classes.😊 On the other hand, these silicon extra long oven mitts are able to protect my whole forearms from heat without burning. But the disadvantage is, it’s a bit difficult to hold small items such as bowl, small plates, because its hand size is too big and the material is thicker than cotton so it does not easily bends with your hands. Thus, 4 stars and not 5.

I wanted a red mitt and the ones I had previously can't handle hotter temperatures. But these can!! I've used them a bunch of times and they work like a charm. Comfortable and worry-free handling very hot pans from the oven. I recommend these mitts. They are red. They are comfortable. They work well.

These are very comfortable and higher than a normal one which protects your arms as well, very nice. No heat makes it through them. I recommend these

Theses are much better than standard oven gloves.Yes they can let some heat through especially if you are holding the hot pan for a while but my husband has not complained about them as he normally does with oven gloves
