I recently purchased the BPS New Zealand ‘Soft Skin’ Sand Proof Water Socks for a white water rafting trip in the 40degrees waters of the Snake River in Wyoming (Tetons area). This FL girl was quite worried that her toes would freeze in the cool June water temps, but these booties made sure they stayed warm and comfortable on my rafting trip. I cannot wait to use them at home in Florida when we go to the ocean for my beach and water activities. The 3mm neoprene material provided excellent insulation, keeping my feet warm in cooler waters. The anti-slip soles offer great traction on slippery surfaces, making sure I remain stabile and confident while walking on wet rocks or sandy beaches. The adjustable velcro ankle straps effectively minimized sand and water entry, making these socks perfect for beach volleyball and other shore activities. The fit is snug but comfortable. I did not have any issues taking them on or off.

I wear a size 13 shoe and ordered the size the chart said I need. While they are a bit tight to put on, that's because they're meant to be that way to prevent friction rubbing. Once on, they for perfectly. The grip on the bottom is helpful, and the adjustable strap above the ankle helps keep them in place. They're also thin enough to comfortably fit a pair of fins.

So I do actually love these. They fit perfectly and are super soft. My reason for not giving them five stars is the soles don’t hold up well on gritty pool surfaces. I bought these for a water aerobics class and to protect my feet when pushing off the side of the pool during a lap swim. After one aerobics class I had multiple holes in the bottoms.Happily, the company was great to work with and immediately replaced them for me. They really stand by their product. That said, I don’t wear them for water aerobics anymore. The soles just aren’t sturdy enough. I bought regular water shoes with rubber soles for that. But I do wear them for my lap swim and they work perfectly for that. No more cut-up toes! And they aren’t at all heavy. So I do recommend them—just not for walking around a pool.

This is my third time purchasing BPS water socks, and they have added a significant upgrade by removing the elastic / velcro strap and replacing it with a heavy-duty ankle retention rim. For my last two pairs, I ended up picking out the stitching and removing the strap, so this is a great improvement to an already excellent product.Overall quality remains excellent, and these are very comfortable under full-foot fins. I've tried other, similar products and they just haven't held up to regular usage the way the BPS socks do.

I followed the size chart and ordered a size small. I wear a women size 7 shoe. These came so small I could hardley get my foot inside. Once I did they were so hard to take off ! I cold water plunge and in the winter it is important to get out of your wet cold gear as soon as possible. These are garbage if you need to take off fast. I will go back to the om brand. They mak cost more but at least the size xchart is correct and they actually firt and are east=y to take off!

Fantastic buy! I used as a water sock for my fins, using to "free dive" consistently over an 8 day trip.1. Fit - exactly as the graphic describes sizes2. Performance - the materials / neoprene fell never slipped; the material gripped as anticipated as well3. Quality - seems to be higher than expected. The Bottom of the sock has a grip-like material. I would not use the sock to walk around without a shoe / sandal but good for limited walking. NOTE: I reserve judgment on longevity. I used the socks rigorously for 8 days, literally diving 6 hours a day each. There seems to be a slight perforation / tear forming on one of the areas where they sew....Not hugely disappointed as I would buy these again for my next trip. Just not certain how long they would last keeping up the same pace.

These socks are amazing! Granted, I've only used these socks once so rar, but they did great on my 12+ hour hike through The Narrows at Zion National Park; which is basically just walking in the river the whole time and the primary reason as to why I bought these socks. I paired these up with a pair of Merrel's water/trail shoes and they kept my feet warm throughout my hike in the cold canyon waters, and the ankle straps did an amazing job of keeping the sand out. I really hate getting sand in between my toes (like really, really hate it) as it is quite a nuisance to clean. When I took these socks off before getting back in my car after the hike, I was blown away by the fact that my feet were perfectly clean! My girlfriend on the other hand, bought a pair from the store inside the visitor center that cost well over $30+ and her feet had tons of sand upon removal. You really can't beat the price of these socks and the quality is superb. I am really happy with these socks. If you hate sand as much as I do (not possible), get these!

I am a women’s 7.5 shoe so within the listed small sizing - well there were way too small. Note they are also very narrow. Exchanged for medium and they are still snug and a tight fit to get on. Later I also purchased large - which should have been the fit for my boyfriend but there is no way he could get these on - in-fact they were only a tiny bit longer than I needed. I bought them as a second layer for sea kayaking in cold conditions and they were tight but manageable with some time to stretch - being wet also helps with this - not what you want on sand but fine in kayak or swimming in the bay. Once sizing is sorted I have liked them - seemed to keep feet a bit warmer. Not sure how they will wear as I have only had them 2 months or less and I take care to limit wear that is not in a kayak or in bay/water.

It is very comfortable and light. But I bought them for a 2 weeks kite surfing travel in Mexico beaches. I used them for about 1.5 hrs per day, most of that time on my board (I walked on a sandy beach for about 15 minutes each session). After 2 weeks, they are just good for garbage. The soles are completely ruined, with holes at the heels and big toes. But for the price I paid, I don't really mind. It would be good to have the same with a stronger, thicker sole.

Los compré porque las aletas me estaban rozando la parte del tobillo con la fricción y ya quedó solucionado. Además están excelentes para caminar en la playa, secan muy rápido y son cómodos.

Size chart is under estimating.
