Easy install. Probably wouldn't to play Carnegie Hall with it but good enough for Lightin Hopkins type thing. It's passive so not a ton of output. Clean boost pedal before the amp will take care of that. Any generic one will do you can get them here for around $20. Don't waste your money on expensive effects it's all in the fingers man. Feel the groove!

I'm still learning how to get the decent kick drum sound from gluing this to a block of wood.But that's on me. This device does what it is supposed to, is robust, delivers good volume.Maybe if I worked with a dozen different products like this, I'd have something to critique.But this works, works well, and seems cheap to me, so I'm extremely satisfied.

I’ve used these in several cigar box guitar builds. To me, they have a nice beefy old school sound that always makes me smile.

For an amateur instrument luthier(I use that word very loosely), these were so cool to install in a few ukuleles. The price is unbelievable to make an instrument be able to go from acoustic to electric.

I purchased these pickups for a project I'm working on so I have not installed them into any existing instruments. I can say, however, that all the necessary hardware is included for an easy mount of the 1/4" Jack onto any wood, plastic, or metal panel. The piezo discs are very sensitive (and should be) and would be great for mounting inside a violin, acoustic guitar, drum, hollow log, etc. This 3-pack is a great deal for the price and a must for DIY instrument builders and sound experimentalists.
