Previous buyers who left a negative review should have READ THE DESCRIPTION! This is listed as an alto sax neck, 24.5mm size on the receiving surface. I measured my sax before ordering, like previous buyers should! All I had to do was buff off the lacquer on the part that goes into the sax body and it fit perfectly. It was indeed machined to exactly 24.5mm.If this does not fit your saxophone it is NOT the seller's fault! It's like ordering the wrong tires for your car and blaming the garage when they don't fit. If you have no idea what size neck you need, go see a repair technician first.

Bought to replace older neck. Doesn't fit into the neck at all. No way to loosen it and make it fit.

I bought this tenor neck for practice with the mouthpiece only. So I can practice my embouchure and breathing at the office. Playing the mouthpiece by itself is alarmingly loud but adding the neck quiets it down a lot. Won't be using it on my saxophone.

Although appears to be a good quality, unfortunately did not work with my son's instrument. So be aware what type of neck the instrument needs before you purchase the item, It is not all alto saxophones !!!
