Easy to use on homemade loaves that can be hard to hand slice. Simply choose how thick, put in the spacer and use a thin but sharp bladed knife to cut one perfect slice. You can only cut one at a time but for $10 bucks it’s perfect.

Some of the pieces broke after using it several times but still functional. It makes slicing homemade bread easy. When I’m done with it, I can easily rinse, dump the crumbs and even throw in the dishwasher. I can even change the thickness of the slices too. Well, no more uneven slices of bread here!

I bought this to slice bread made from my bread maker but it’s not wide enough to accommodate the loaf.. useless unless your bread maker makes skinnier loaves

For $9 (at the time of this review) this is undoubtedly a value purchase. It does exactly what is expected, and it takes up only a little space. This is a great alternative to my bamboo/wood cutting boards in terms of space. I don't think this is one of those "Buy Once For Life" things.... one of the plastic knobbies broke off out of the box (does not affect functionality), so I've been warned that it is not especially durable. Again, this is a great value for this tool. I do not hesitate to recommend at this price point.

This is a good little basic bread slicer guide that works very well. I like that you can set the end to slice different widths of bread. I really like how compact it is, particularly because we don't have a lot of cabinet or drawer space so being able to fold it up is very handy. It came with a small supply of disposable bread bags, which was a nice addition. This would make a great housewarming gift for someone just setting up their kitchen or maybe moving away from home for the first time.

I recently purchased a bread machine and now every Sunday morning I’ve got a new loaf cooling on the counter. Of course a bread slicer was my next purchase. I tried one with a crumb tray that is highly adjustable and works well, but it takes up too much room in my cabinet. Hence, I chose this little gadget hoping it would provide similar results while taking up less kitchen real estate. It does work as stated. There were no instructions, but there’s not much to it. A small crumb tray folds out from the bottom then just insert the plastic divider into one of four guides at the front which will determine the thickness of the slice, insert the loaf of bread up to the divider, insert the knife into the gap over the bread and slice through easy peasy. Unfortunately one of my bread machine breads was too big to fit into the device. I had to turn it on its side and even then I had to force it into the opening. I still managed to get some really nice, perfectly even slices of different thicknesses. I think the bread loaves you buy in store will work fine with this, but homemade loaves are going to be a gamble so it all depends on your needs. It also comes with some bread bags so you can make your homemade creations look more like store bought if you take them somewhere to serve.
