This is excellent. No practice mute replicates the same balance as playing an open trumpet, but this is one of the best, if not the best. I've used the full sized version for years and finally bought the version for piccolo trumpet. I'm so glad I did!

Not as quiet as a best brass full size trumpet whisper mute or the Yamaha silent brass one, but it feels nice to play, doesn’t make it feel as weird as many other practice mutes do.

The Piccolo Trumpet version of this is excellent (I haven't tried the Bb). I am in an apartment with paper-thin walls and windows and with this mute I can practice after midnight (it's quieter than what I set the volume on for my TV set when I'm up at 2:00 am and half the building is asleep).

It works. Intonation is a little weird. Good for warmup before rehearsal or hotel rooms. Not as good as the Bb/C mute.

Sticks out a bit more from the bell on my Schilke than I thought it would, but stays put. Certainly is quiet, but not as free blowing as the standard counterpart. Still, if you need to play your pic quiet-like, it does the job. More pleasant to blow in the lower register. Once you get to G above the staff, it gets stuffy and flat.

I love this mute. It fits well into trumpet, it is smooth and has very little backpressure. On top of all that it is quiet and trumpet still sounds great!Thank you.
