The fuel valve on my 12 year old portable generator needed to be replaced. The gasket inside had deteriorated over the years from the ethanol in today's fuel, and the valve developed a very slow leak. I ordered this and it came in a genuine, sealed Briggs and Stratton parts bag. I swapped it out with the old one in just a few minutes, and it fit perfectly.

It was a week before hurricane Dorian was about to hit the East coast of Florida when I went to test thegenerator. I turned the fuel valve to the On position and gas started to drip out. I ordered the part and itarrived at Amazon at 11pm on the Friday night. Saturday came and throughout the day.. no delivery. I finally got a notification stating that the part was delayed Sept 1st - Sept 3rd.. Sunday came and went. On Monday morning I tried to locate the fuel valve locally, but no luck. So, I went to my local automotive store and bought gasket repair material and I was able to "fix" the original valve with no leaks. Well... about an hour after that, I got a notification from Amazon that the package was going to be delivered! I got it about 2 hours later. I went ahead an installed the new one, changed the generator oil and it started on the first pull. It's nerve wracking enough to go though a Cat 4/5 hurricane but it would have been even worse without some sort of generator power.

This one didn't leak like the other cheap versions did. Like the filter at the bottom that can be cleaned.

Shut off valve was the perfect fit.The valve turned smoother than the factory one/ which is the cause of the factory one breaking

bought this for my Simoniz power washer fuel tank isolation valve was a bit longer than the old one just had to raise the fuel tank up to install .

I was really worried about this. I have a Simoniz gas washer that had a leaky petcock valve, and this was the EXACT part I needed to replace it. Thanks a million. Good part, so I'm a happy camper
