I've never liked the idea of having the electrical cord also be what supports the weight of a string of lights. So a kit like this it's absolutely necessary for installing lights. It also lets you pull them tight without damaging the lights. This kit was easy to install and worked well.After having the lights in my yard for about a year, a huge tree came down right through the lights. The support cables from this kit were of course ripped down. But the lights were nearly undamaged! One bulb cover dented where it was under the 30" diameter tree trunk. But the wires were completely intact and still work.I'd buy this kit or one like it again for sure.

We decided to hang our lights from a cable this year and looked for a cable kit. We went to the hardware stoes and found nothing that worked well. Cables are too short and we needed at least 100 feet. This kit turned out to be a great value, less than the cost of a 40 foot kit at the hardware store with more support hardware.The only issue is that the cable does not come on a spindle so it quickly became unmanageable and tangled. That is one suggestion as otherwise the kit worked great.

I’ve tied several different ones hanging up lights outside. It was very easy to set up. Connects well with easy instructions if you aren’t sure how it works and the durability is great for higher winds too. It’s not super thick to the appearance is minimal.

Good supplies in the kit. Hung string lights in the backyard and it worked great. These wire rope clips are better than other kits I’ve used. These clips are basically a double clip so the wire really won’t slip loose.

Great kit. I know that it has a length but it is exact. I needed just an extra 10 to 12in and was hoping for a little extra and ended up ordering additional cable afterwards. Not the products fault, just fyi.

Overall good set. Horribly cheap and undersized screws that broke up the very first mount install. Had to use some trusty drywall screws instead. Strongly advised especially under high tension
