The person who said this crane is out of scale for other Brio cargo doesn’t understand construction sites or perhaps they don’t realize this goes with the proper cargo items and not the small hay bales/wood stacks/coal/toy cargo. This is a giant crane! Brio sells the tall crane (see my photo for the blue crane) which would be used for smaller things. Just as in the real world, a giant crane is for bigger cargo. You wouldn’t use a giant crane to load a dump truck. The cargo boxes that come standard with this giant crane, perfectly match the Three Wagon cargo train (Brio 33982). So I applaud Brio for consistency and accuracy of construction sites! I was very hesitant to get this crane due to the price and I actually got a opened box deal on amazon which brought the price down. I’m SO happy I got this one over the Hape Crane because I adore the red lights and how light it is while also being solid. It occasionally gets bummed over and I don’t worry about it.I own almost every Brio item and Giant crane is a absolute must have! It gets used more than Gantry Crane or low level crane. My boy is 3 and I know I am keeping this for my grandkids!

I got this for my son for Christmas. He loves the magnetic feature and plays with it with his trains for hours. It was much bigger than I thought it would be, but that was only a plus!

My son loves it, but the cost for this crane is ridiculous. We only kept it because it was a gift. I wouldn’t have paid $60 for it.
